Default Making a bomb drop from a plane

I am wondering if anyone would have any advice on how I would make a bomb which can be dropped from the belly of a plane as it flys across a map. Imagine the old world war 2 bombers and you will know what I mean. I only want gravity to affect the bomb and obviously when it hits the ground it needs to explode.

I was thinking it could be done by extending the UTProj_Grenade class, would this work? I would have to have an instance of the class within my plane class and then it could be fired off from the plane using an input, am I correct?

Would be very appreciative of your help

Yes. You can also look into how the rocket launcher works, because it actually applies flocking behavior to the rockets, so as they fly the move around each other. if you want to know how to modify the trajectory of your bombs, there you go.

Thanks for the help. I ended up using the MantaGun as a base and then made a class for the projectile extending from UTProj_Grenade. Works a treat and even explodes on impact. Just the job!
