It's probably false. Don't get too excited.

It does not make sense to me why M$ would do such a thing?

Maybe false, but if it were true, it would be nice.

Coming from a hardware perspective, this makes absolutely no sense at all, the xbox hardware is different than computers.... outdated, but different.

Simply putting in a new operating system to a computer won't magically enable the way a xbox game is run because the hardware parts are different. Which leads to the only possibility left which is emulation, and even then, why would we need a whole new operating system to try and "emulate" a xbox game. Sure for a sales pitch, but those xbox games would be quite limited on PC, plus would not be guaranteed to run, considering if you were simply upgrading the operating system.

A reasonable comparison is saying a bike tire is an xbox game, and you need a bicycle (xbox 360) to use it. Now imagine trying to put that bike tire on an airplane (a gaming PC)...... which btw has new seats (new operating system) among being first class (backwards compatibility for win 7, vista, xp)... as you can see, the bike tire (game) isn't going to get better from the new seats (operating system).

Which leaves 2 options.... either get a bicycle (xbox 360) to use the tire (xbox game) to way it was made for so you can at least run it or make a better tire (games published for pc with an editor) for your superior airplane.

The real way to go about playing more games on PC is to abolish the "exclusives" and actually publish the game for PC aka the better tire.

No need to re-invent the wheel, just stop making it only for obsolete machines.

In true microshaft style, they will disable editors. I'm not into this idea at all, it won't achieve anything at all, if games are built for a 360, they will only truly work best on a 360.

I don't want microsoft taking control of my PC games as well as everything else -.-

It's a trap, i don't want any xbox ruined PC, i don't like those game or live stuff at all,
after Win xp ,these MS OS updated too soon, and no key changes, let console play console games, not PC,
if they want more people buy win8, using D11 D12 etc, better port more Gears, and make it stable...
