    Default No weapon drops on death

    Hey, has anyone ever made a mutator that simply prevents people from dropping weapons when they die? If not, could someone?

    No, that makes them so they don't disappear when you grab them. I'm looking for something that eliminates the weapon when someone's killed, so if I kill someone who's using a Flak Cannon, they won't drop it, it's just gone. UT2004RPG does this with the Denial ability, actually... but I don't always want to use UT2004RPG.

    Denial does it by overriding PreventDeath and destroying all weapons in the inventory if the subject died. So that should be fairly easy to do.

    If anybody would like to do this go ahead, if not I'll do it later today (in ~12 hours :P ).

    90% of that is storing the weapon for the next respawn and is not needed at all for this request.

    Thanks, will test right now. Mainly I wanted it because Ballistic Loadout is really nice, but it gets wildly stupid when you're able to pick up weapons everyone else drops. I wanted it limited to just the five weapons you pick, so hopefully this will do the trick.

    Thanks for this mutator, it really helps the Ballistic Loadout mutator. I was thinking of another idea: Instead of dropping nothing on death, how about making a mutator where the victim simply drops an ammo pack upon death? I know nothing about coding in Unreal Ed so I can't do this myself ^^;.

    That's why I made this request, specifically for Ballistic Weapons and the Loadout thing. It was a great game type, but then you started collecting everyone's weapon drops and soon you ended up with 25 weapons or more. Got out of hand, fast, so this curbs that.

    Also, ammo packs are more than plentiful and on top of that, this mod would then have to call Ballistic Weapons specific packages, and would then have a dependency on that mod to be able to be used. Would be much too complicated for something that it really doesn't need to do.

    hmm, i know one server where you don't drop weapons when you die - downer easier trials

    It probably uses this mod then. There's no in-game method for it.
