    MAP-DM DM-Sunspeak II

    Remake of the DmSunSpeak from Unreal Gold. As in DM-Elsinore I had just converted and fixed this level, added some special effects and Onslaught weapons(AVRiL and grenade launcher) for crazy gameplay. Some textures hadnt been replaced (as in DM-ArcaneTemple2k4 by MsM) to save the atmosphere.

    I love Unreal map remakes!
    But I think you should improve the texture alignment and scaling on some places. Did you use detail textures for the old textures?
    It's always better to post in the beta section first so that the map can be optimized.
    One example is picture 1. The alignment could be a bit better.

    AVRiL? Are you sure? It's useless outside of vehicle damaging AFAIK. I would have replaced it with other gun, perhaps the Mine Layer (to keep with the ONS weapon theming) or another default weapon.

    The AVRiL isn't useless, in many cases it can kill others with one hit.

    Yeah, the AVRiL is like the rocket launcher in that you just have to time your projectile. Don't let that fart-looking smoke fool you, that this was meant to kill vehicles...and unless the player has more health than a standard vehicle actor, your almost certainly gonna go boom.

    As for the map, while I think there are some areas where the lighting could use a weeeee bit of work, overall I like it

    No, the AVRiL has its damage reduced quite a bit for non-vehicle players.

    Technically, it is the opposite, there is a damage multiplier applied to vehicles.

    http://liandri.beyondunreal.com/AVRiL

    So it is 125 by default:
    In ONSAVRiLRocket:
    Damage=125.0

    and multiplied by 1.6 for vehicles:
    In DamTypeONSAVRiLRocket:
    VehicleDamageScaling=1.6

    Holy cow, Sunspeak remake. And here I thought people had forgotten about RTNP maps overall. Have to note this for the remake pack!

    Cool another good remake!

    I like the different music used and the detailed tex/meshes, water, cobwebs and all the gameplay elements. But some of the lighting doesn't seem right and hard to determine the source in some cases. The skybox is better than Daybreak and the bots are decent (as they were in Daybreak also). The Unreal versions seems slightly darker.

    Smile Good remake.

    Like the gameplay elements, details and water, (the lighting may ideal to criticize). The lifts are like rectangles, and as for that, swimming while fragging could be disturbing. The AVRiL placement is quite possibly a "die hard" killing, on the other hand. Seems like this map is a good remake from the classic Unreal game and the bots are decent.
