Shotgun Shot Goes Sideways & 2 Known Glitches [Video]

What was happening right before the issue occurred?: First, I clearly see a locust running my way through my smoke (known glitch). Then, after killing two enemies in a row, I apparently find another smoke grenade in my pocket (another know glitch) and am able perfectly stun 2 more locusts - only to point blank one with no visible effect to him, but a very visible effect to the dead body to my right. Then he suddenly makes a miraculous recovery from his stun and double barrels me. Awesome.

I went back to see why my point blank shot missed after playing several more matches, so I deleted any questions I can't remember the answer to.

EDIT: Pointed out to me that the extra smoke is taken from the meatshielded enemy, and thus not a bug. Other 2 pointed out remain.

Not a glitch. You picked that guy up as a meatshield and took his smoke. That's supposed to happen.

Yeah Ive had that same issue of my shotgun blast hitting dead bodies to the side.

I think it's something to do with the dead body being in the wrong place on your screen and somewhere else on the Dedicated servers.

Dunno about Gears of War 3, but weren't ragdolls in the previous 2 games always client side only? Seems like an odd thing to waste bandwidth syncing, so I don't see how that could be the issue, but who knows. They're looking into it, so we might as well not even bother with this thread anymore...

I have a shooting sideways video too. The bullets come out at a 90 degree angle and the barrel isn't pointed at the target.

Serious, this is a huge ****ed up glitch! That's a point blank every day in a week but not this time, instead it hit the dead body beside you..wow. Great game Epic!

i also noticed after watching the video the locust rolled through the smoke then the stunned animation started so his arm was up an head to the side when you fired. An the shot looked liked it would have been a head shot so maybe thats why it missed. but still the animation shouldn't be able to prevent a head shot... i dunno thats my 2 cents..

This is the problem... GORE causing shots to be blocked by dead bodies.
