Me too. Currently not doing anything with DX11, I have to upgrade the videocards first since they are all DX10 :-/

I'd still like to see when DX11 completely takes off since I am assuming most ppl don't have the cards that support it yet.

This is a very small and fast test I did to check how will displacement will look alike with a normal map too. The main shape is a quick discplacement map and the grains are made using a normal map.

I'm preparing now a character for further tests.

    Introduction Story:

At the brink of adult hood, it is time to choose your path. Born in the city of Talgarth, it is expected of you to learn the ways of combat. But, sometimes the clearest paths can lead into darkness. On the night of your Apprenticeship, you awaken to a man with a sword to your throat. Overpowering you, the man slams the hilt of his blade into your skull. As the world fades in and out from the blow, you get a glimpse of another. Is he here to help? As you awake, you are greeted by a severely stern man. He grunts, "Get up, boy! We need to move so their scouts don't find us!" Then, as your eyes focus, you realize he's a master of...

    Background Information:

Torment spreads from the East. Recent tragedy brings back memories of old folklore where men without souls raided “deserving” villages. But, those were cautionary tales, those places deserved their plight. Have we, too, committed hubris? There has been attacks across the land from a force that can only be described by it's desolate aftermath. The survivors, if you can call them that, yell out in fragments, but the pieces all add up to one fact: These are not normal men. The place where our story begins were filled with people of strong skepticism. They never thought the blight would reach their city of Talgarth. But, this ignorance only it made it easier for the dark to overcome the light. Talgarth was taken. Luckily, my apprentice lives, but he'll have much to learn if he is to one day become master.

    Game Features:

    • 3 Classes featuring a Ranger, Necromancer and Warrior
    • A fast paced playing style of Diablo 2, but the features of a full featured MMO like World of Warcraft
    • On the road but your buddies want you to play Apprentice? No Problem! you can take Apprentice wherever you go! The game will be available on the PC, Ipad, Iphone and Android devices!
    • Online account, with all your information secure on our severs to keep those hackers at bay!
    • Advance Creature and NPC AI.
    • Full featured Leveling system (That it wont feel like working at a factory to level)
    • And so much more that you would expect from a Online Action/RPG!

    Real time random map generation.

Almost there, but not quite finished yet. I currently generate the maps in small chunks, I haven't checked the edge wall cases yet hence why you can see a "tiled" situation. However, everything within the tile itself is reachable. At the moment only walls are generated, as they aren't passable. In the empty line spaces, I can add doors, door ways etc. Should start to look a lot better as I start adding more theming.

Same here, but that doesn't prevent me from trying.

I keep believing that I can get better with just a bit training and that talent only makes it easier (same as it is for coding).
The only exception is music. I am just such an unmusical person that I could never get that stuff, no matter how hard I try. :P

We have gotten approved to use APEX, but it will probably be until june/july before we have enough to show-off.

Wow, you guys! That stuff looks brilliant!

I'm currently plodding along in DX9 mode, but I might show off some stuff. My most basic work I've created yet is my test map: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNbv7zyiTJg

I also made a quick test of APEX, but that's insignificant.

Hot diggidy damn, you guys with your bloody futuristic DX11 systems! I still cant even get DX10 because I could never get used to Vista or 7.

This kinda stuff could make your eyes bleed if you look at it for long enough, and you'd start failing to differentiate between reality and unreality!

Can Somebody put images of new terrain system as big landscape, with forest, water...?

Somebody has a pre rendered demo or game? Like resident evil zero of gc or gray matter.

This is some WIP test level I'm doing with DX11 features. I started with the bokeh DOF, I love it!

My work is level design, terrain creation, lighting and postprocessing. I'm a programmer, so don't expect to see super cool stuff, I'm just messing around.

Heh, nice to see some good old fundamentary BSP in the days of UE3. That's probably how UT99 maps would look like if they were ported to UE3.

It is actually a remake of the escape1 map from the Return to Castle Wolfenstein (2001). I just loved that game; I would like to remake the entire game

I made an account for this; by any chance, is that inspired by Return to Castle Wolfenstein? Great work regardless!
