    Wow...finally motivation to actually model and assemble a scene in UDK together! I'll start after the radio show tonight, Jeff. I've got some good plans cooking away in that noggin of mine that I'd love to lay out on a 123D sketch.

    What Ive been working on in 2012. Mostly my custom character pipeline. Not much to show off in udk since I've been heavly rigging an animating in 3dmax. but soon will be in UDK in a month or so hopefully. =)

    I wanted to share with you guys my very first small project with UDK



    The purpose for this project was mainly to learn the basis of matineee and kismet, and to be able to create something without any new custom assets by tweaking and breaking all the bundled ones.

    It's very good. One thing that caught my eyes, though, is how the grass is distributed on roofs: very dense in some points, and absent in others. It looks weird and somewhat unnatural.
    Unless, of course, that is the way they've grown it in real Forbidden Palace.

    Otherwise it's great. Really like the epicness of the place that the whole scene radiates.

    Hello everyone, here is my project: Fortis Rex: Rise Of The King.

    It chronicles your rise to power to become King of the mythical land of Rex. It is still in its Alpha stages now, but already most of the basic systems have been implemented(dialogue, combat, etc.). I am going to put an exponentially increasing amount of art into the game over the coming months. By the end of the year the beta will be done. There will also be a customization system in the game so you can be exactly who you want in the game.

    This project uses next generation textures that only the Unreal Engine and UDK can bring to their full glory. The ease of use of the editor makes game development a much faster process. THANKS FOR LOOKING!

    Heres a few screen shots of my first character ingame with all my custom assets.
    Finished the materials / shaders for his suit last night. Just gotta finish the character by rigging him up and tweaking his facefx as. =)

    I'm a UDK noob, but thanks to the awesome resources found from the users on this forum, I'm proud to say I'm learning it a lot faster than I ever thought I could. I'm totally addicted! Here's the 1st of what should be many screen shots of my work. My goal with this map was to learn how to make realistic lighting (and make a cool matinee, which I'll post on YouTube and link here soon). I think it came out pretty good. Any and all constructive criticism is highly appreciated!

    This is what i've got so far, started this a while back originally was gonna be an iphone game based in space and similar to infinity blade, but the project had a few problems. so i ditched it and started working on an enviroment just for testing purposes, this test includes dx11 shading and image based reflections, bloom effects, procedural buildings, depth of field, all art was made by me, including the character which was made ages ago and is kinda out of date with my current skill level
