I can't decide if the work on my entry is slowing down because I'm burning out, or because I'm getting all these new deadlines...

BTW, I have to say... despite a little bit of bad placement for one of the characters, which muddles the drawing a bit, my entry is shaping up to look like something more awesome than anything I've ever done before. I am so excited.

Finally got it done and uploaded.

My only worry is that my having text in the image will disqualify me. But then again, Silverback vs. Berserker has vector flames or something like that in it, so I... hope I'm good?

So yeah, woo. I really hope I win now. But my money's on GaryStorkamp's Lambent Berserker, Texly's stuff, and/or the Marcus Fenix drawing by j9stewarty. I honestly don't think I'm going to be able to compete with them. It would be like a brick competing with a sledgehammer.

The latest update was a little unclear (due to my strange sleeping pattern).

Is the judging taking place over the course of today (Sunday) and ending in the afternoon on Monday? Or did it take place over yesterday (Saturday) and end not very long ago today?

Because when you said "today" in the update, I don't know if "today" was Sunday or Saturday. I kind of fell asleep at 2:00 AM yesterday and woke up at 8:30 today.

Okay, so here we go now that I've gathered myself.

I've already pre-ordered Gears of War 3 Epic Edition, but only paid $20 for it.

I would gladly take the 3-months of Xbox Live Gold, because that would take the strain off my wallet for a nice long time, but I don't know if I can have that AND some of the other prizes...

I also want the Beta Pass, because there's a friend I have who's been with me through thick and thin, through some really seriously hard times, and I want to be able to play the Beta with him.

And I really want the pre-ordered Coalition's End...

...But the rest, I think, would be better put to use if given to the other winners. And I can definitely live without 3 months of free Xbox Live, because I'm not too broke to be able to pay for myself.

I'm so confused. I feel like the simple farmboy that I am, and like I just walked into the Farm Depot and saw a bunch of gleaming new tractors that all say "FREE JUST FOR YOU" but I can only have a few of the dozens.

Congrats Wiz! I have stated many times before and during your work on this piece that this is exceptional! You'll get somewhere with it.

Though, in all honesty, I'm surprised second place didn't get first. I'd have chosen it for first if Wiz hadn't have got it. It looks like it's straight out of an art book for Gears of War. Like... concept art. It's so professional...

Maybe because Wiz's had much more detail? Who knows.

And "Unknown Soldier" by Texly was BADASS TO THE THIRD DEGREE... Would have put that for 2nd.

I was honestly expecting to not even crack the top three. Like, get 5th place or something.
