For jumpship, i'm thinking Bouncer and Flail is the way to go as nearly all the skillshots should be possible for the promo shots (if the ammo holds out)

Meat Fountain and ANY explosive one like Boom, Sledgehammer/KOD will be tricky simply because Echoes can take a Bouncer shell and unless it's almost right on top of them it won't kill them first shot. Money Shot requires them to be injured first as well otherwise it doesn't do enough damage.
Although there is a way to do Meat Fountain on two standing enemies if you know what you are doing.
Flailgun has Headslicer and Meatslicer plus the same as above, a Final Echo can often take a Homie Missile without dying and triggering the skillshot.
Essentially any explosive skillshot is pretty hit and miss on them. You need to balance between the chance you'll get an impossible one and how easy the rest are to do when choosing a weapon.
Screamer and Flailgun I *suspect* are the best combination.
or
Screamer and Headhunter.
The good thing about Screamer + Flailgun is you can get Misfire really easily and you can use Flyswat to deal with Firefighter.
I suppose it's worth trying both. Meat Fountain wouldn't be too hard (or the other explosive shots) if you weaken them with PMC first.
Btw Tallim, what is the highest score on PS3 Desert UE right now ? Just managed a 27000+ score. Very pleased to say the least![]()
No idea actually, not even certain it's me who has number 1. I've only run it twice. None of the PS3 scores are up to the 360 ones yet. (except maybe Downtown) as not many people playing.
I would have a look later but not actually able to play for a few days as I am away from home.
It's not that high for sure.
Things I learnt today:
How to OHW a final echo.
How to get a Shotgunner in the Mercy pose (although pretty impractical and pointless)
An improved way to get Juggler when you don't actually have a shotgun equipped.
So are you going to share your insights? The Juggler is interesting to me, as well as the OHW.
Rattle, what's the problem with Surgeon? That's one of the few that actually work. You just have to shoot them again and again and again and again and again and again and then once more in the same limb without hitting anything else on their body... God, even typing that was annoying...
Probably just crossed wires mate. I'm so used to being cheated out of shots on Jumpship i just remember struggling to get most things working for me.
Favourite shots of the week -
3x Lucky shot with Boom addons at the start of Hideout UE. Follow that up with Torpedo/Topless, Piledriver and finally Vertigo/Parashot/Pump Action/Juggler for some big points in 26 secs.![]()
How'd you put Juggler in there? And I always seem to get too close for Piledrivers to work, or they slide down the wall and THEN die for +10...
Can't speak for anyone else's method but once you leash or slide someone try ducking and aiming at the top of the enemy, should give plenty of arc for Juggler AND avoid accidental topless/legless. Also you appear to get Piledriver easier the higher up the wall they hit. If they are too low down you tend to get the sliding down +10 rubbish, or at best Splatter
Oh an if you are leashing from max distance, or from a Vulture if you fire just before they go into slow motion the next shot will always count as Juggler. Essentially the same as slideshotting shotgunners but it works on everyone.

For Piledriver i do this on the 5th guy by leashing him toward me as soon as i see him, kick him toward that block he's next to and 8 times out of 10 it will work. If my kick is wayward and he flies past the block you can still shoot him into the side of the block if you're quick enough.
For Juggler you just need to shoot the copter guy into the air at such an angle you can shoot him twice. Sometimes it will give you the full monty as i described, sometimes you might even get legless/topless aswell but sometimes it's just juggler/vertigo.
I tried allsorts at the start and found it too inconsistant trying to get all the guys in 1 shot plus there's is the time factor to get all 5 guys in a postion for a lucky shot. I used to just burn them to save time but i'm getting better with the bouncer now. As long as i can consistantly pull off a shot with the bouncer i'll put it into a run and carry on burning my way through the rest of the level.
I always did the Lucky Shot when riding down the elevator... You know, after waiting for a fortnight for Ishi to fix the gorram controls...
It's really the only thing you can do in the elevator until you get into burn-range... Mind you, you could also thump them when you're almost down and get some Acid-Rain for a little variety. It's not like you have anywhere else to go until it's all the way down...
Here's a little tip for anyone who may be struggling with the Steady Hand requirements for the Mean Streets Ultimate Echo.
I found that once you get rid of the boss just after the maneaters at the start, if you go back the way you came (through the branches as far as you can), the burnouts will stop in thier tracks. This makes it a hell of a lot easier to get 10 steady hand skillshots. If you mess up a couple of times at the start and still need 1 or 2 then you should thump them into the air on later sections as this makes them an easier target.![]()
Heh I *believe* I've found a much better alternate Spaceport strategy. Need to crunch the numbers a bit but on initial comparison it may well be several thousand more.
I've certainly worked out how to get more than 1500 for the first two enemies2300 if performed perfectly.

Good stuff. I don't know about you but i definately found the Ultimate Echoes improved my overall game as they kind of force you into getting comfortable with weapons you weren't any good with and some of the challenges taught me a bit more about how better to use the environment to get skillshots also.
Oh and anyone who hasn't picked up the DLC Blood Symphony pack yet on Xbox, it's only 400 MS points this week and i would highly recommend it. The Ultimate Echoes are worth the asking price alone.

And I also discovered a load of stuff that while not that gereat is kind of cool. Mainly involving the Bouncer.
Ok overestimated new Spaceport opening shot. You *can* get 2250 but realistically it's 1750 and that's not even doing my originally intended shot. Too many things reset timers on flail shots :/
I also learnt a curious little combo but it requires very specific setup and execution.

Hehe new Spaceport strat is harder to pull off. BUT you can have 18-19K before you go through the shutter towards the first boss. I've done 17K at best so far but made some mistakes. Still working out the kinks.
Hmm mysterious 256MB patch :/
Well, I guess this race is run. It was a good run, though.
It was fun. A lot of fun. A lot of intensely frustrating fun at times, but amazingly exhilarating never the less. And let's not forget those moments we felt so incredibly clever, so incredibly gratified, so incredibly incredible, when just once the stars aligned and all really worked out the way we had it planned.
And it was my privilege to have been amongst a group of dedicated, smart and devilishly ingenious individuals, that, despite their justly earned and well-deserved humongous egos, never failed to be helpful.
Farewell, Ishis.
It was an honor.
Just spent pretty much my whole day playing. Damn, I've gone bad. Real bad. And I've seen some new names on the Boards. And some of the old ones. Still, it was very hard to stop.
I still pray for Bulletstorm 2.
I put the disc in for the first time in months just to see if I am still 4th on the Echoes. Win.
Lots of articles have been popping up here and there saying how under-appreciated, in depth the game was. Hopefully this will spark something in Epic's eye to at least reconsider a sequel.
Until that day. Hope everyone has a good new year.![]()
Well its 2013, gow judgment is out soon so its pretty obvious bulletstorm 2 will never happen saddly. However Need 4 weed started a strong push on my first position so i was forced out of retirement 2 defend, the title has changed hands a few times and some new highscores have arisen. I love this game, playing after so long was refreshing but obviously i'm occasionally reminded of how frustrating it can be. Its a shame that a fps game as original as bulletstorm is shunned by the retarded modern warfare/black ops generation, well i supposes most of them have the attention span of a newt. I hope if any of the old crew ever reads this that they are well.
Cheers Scott,
Will have to fire it up again sometime to see where everyone is at. Been meaning to re-record some runs in HD for a while now but just far too many games have come and gone since. I still hope they revisit the game maybe next gen, one can hope.
Hey Subtle, i didn't expect a reply so soon.
Any games u have particularly enjoyed? I'm not massively into AAA games really i prefer indie titles as they tend to be briming with originality rather than mass market appeal. I have really enjoyed spelunky and retro city rampage on xbla but i am really looking forward to bioshock infinite. I am also looking forward to Jonathan Blows "the witness" on ps4, Braid is probably my favourite game of all time so can't wait for that.
I'm pretty sure nobody will see this or cares but I just managed a pretty nice +powerplant run. Here is my first score screen posting finally confirming my legitamcy.
