It'd be nice to have something a little less subtle for Gears. Like a newspaper article going on about the issue of mischievous feral animals on Sera. "Do your part, eliminate a feral Fox today". Probably a dumb example, but a writer I am not.

Normally, I wouldn't write about a video game, but this is a special case. Fox News published an article about it's thoughts on the latest game from EA, BulletStorm. Even as a religious Fox News watcher who worships Shepard Smith and would do just about anything to be in the same room with all the Fox News girls for an hour, I'm extremely disgusted with this review.

Bulletstorm, in my humble opinion, has all the right stuff - rewards for hitting private areas ("such as the buttocks"...GASP! says Fox News), exploding body parts, and sexually explicit homonyms for "skillful" game play (multikill = gang bang).

Epic/EA should threaten Fox news with a lawsuit over their dodgy reporting. Fox would have to back down and apologise for such ridiculous claims and it would be great advertisement for the game.

Also some tongue in cheek adverts taking the mick out of the Fox story possibly in the form of a "studio news reports" parody would boost sales and be quite funny!

This all reminds me of when the movie The Terminator came out*.

My mother had read that it was the most violent movie ever, or whatever they were saying, and so she forbade me to see it.

I had never even heard of the movie... but it sure sounded interesting.

*I was a fourteen in October of '84, and the movie was rated R, so I'm not sure what she was worried about.

3rd level on those hover bikes-> my father trained me on donkey kong country until I was good enough to play with him, but until that point he used the second controller with his foot. He needed me for the Rat race level, cause that rodent would run too fast. We did beat that level, killed the peculiar looking fox which I remember holding a gun, and I figured out on the second last level to put the stick into the wall so you weren't blow away by the fish. The queen was defeated by me, all lives and health used up. It was a glorious day, 3 years of snes platforming to go back and challenge the original nintendo and beat the hardest game I've ever played. Not including the extremely glitchy Wizard of Oz (bonus puzzle glitched, couldn't get to final level until password was hacked by trial and error)and Star Wars Dark Forces (f***ing random door code on level 13 or whatever, changed everytime level was loaded/character died).

If Fox News says a game is "bad", you know damn well it's gonna be a great game. They don't realize what a great service they are doing for marketing the game. I honestly can't think of a higher recommendation.
