Project Warzone: ALPHA 2 IS UP!

(Please note that this is not related to the multiplayer gametype "Warzone")

Current Version: Alpha 2

An alpha of Project Warzone is available to download. To download PW, download my Mod Downloader program here:

Mod Downloader Instructions:
1. Once downloaded, place the .EXE in your "My Games" directory (not in Gears of War for Windows just My Games)
2. Run the program
3. Go on the Project Warzone tab
4. Click 'Download Pack File', wait for download progress to be 100% ( a notification bubble will pop up saying so) then click 'Download Standard Maps'
5. In your My Games directory you should find two files, 'WarzonePACKFILE' and 'WarzoneStandardMaps'. Run these files and they will install to the correct directory.
6. Run gears.
7. Open the Dev Console and type "Open WZ_Warmachine"
8. Get testing!

Still can't download, why use this tool , just like other filefront or moddb is really good, like lance, no problem at all....

Because I can update whenever i want without having to post new links and such, and filefront and such tend to delete the links after a while.

Btw that link WAS filefront, maybe this forum's hyperlink option is buggy or your internet is being a pain

Ok, I ran the WarzonePACKFILE.exe and got the Warzone_Pack.upk package. So that works

So whne they open the .exe, in big letters it should say, Make sure this file is in the My Games folder. Hell, have the entire instructions along with it, hehe.

Oh, it seems before I ran the WarzoneStandardMaps.exe, one of the other files made a "Standard maps", like it's an extra file with nothing ever put in it.... Dunno if you're leaving this for later or not though, hehe.

Then we I ran the WarzoneStandardMaps.exe, it created "Standard" folder with the warmachine map in it.

Strange, when i click download, it soon finished and a 0 byte size WarzonePACKFILE.exe file appear, seems can't get the exact file....

those files are hosted on the same thing as the original link was hosted on. What is your broadband? What security software do you have? Any internet filters or anything? What country do you live in?

OK, i think some certain website is blocked in my little country, not free internet, so no way to deal with this, no chance to play this mod...

Why not host it on ModDB? No one seems to have issues with that site, and they don't delete your files after XXX days.

Dont worry Son! I'll work on the problem. What country do you live in? you MUST tell me this.

The hosting thing I use is blocked in china so do you live in Asia somewhere?

I find it alot easier doing it from the convenience of my desktop rather than having to go sign up to moddb eg.

BTW Moddb uses filefront which DOES delete after a certain amount of time. Darksin seems to be the only one having a problem with it?

It was an old directory I made from previous extracting hierarchical layout. It's not used

The standard maps file is 55,017kb and the pack file is 14,167kb. On next release, better compression will be used to keep the size down. Is it downloading ok this time? BTW click then ONE at a time, dont download both at same time

haha, bulletstorm does look fun to play, but looks like something you'd get bored of after a couple of weeks(Dead Rising 2)

Anyway this mod download is really slow and pain, so i quit warmachine.Good luck, seems most mp botted before, warmachine has lance 2 version. what's next map?

bullet cant last long? what do u mean?

and for the long download time, you must have poor connection, I download 65mb in just over a minute however I will make a better compressed installer

btw gameplay is aimed to be less serious than lance2. Think of it as it's slapstick cousin. Gameplay is different...
