Gracefully Streaming Out on death?
So my SP level has checkpoints which I have working as intended for the most part. Due to design I need to dump and reload sub levels on death, which I have working as well. The bummer is unloading nicely on death. I can set an active delay on death so the world does not disappear and causing the hall of mirrors effect.
I can't help to think there is a better way...
Bump, back to work on this project for a bit, anyone have any thoughts on this?
Think the devs got around this by having checkpoints teleport the player after streaming, and using the temporary HUD fade to hide the falling through the world effect upon loading.
You can try to check the bShouldBlockonLoad option in the streaming, but no guarantee that it works properly.
