Default Does Apple free developer work ?

Does anyone know if you can use UDK with your Iphone/Ipod if you are registered as an Apple developer which is free. From the Apple website it states you can download the iOS sdk and the like, I was wondering if this would work with UDK Mobile or is the iOS developer program ($99/yr) the only one that works.

The SDK can be used with XCode to create apps that work in the simulator which is part of the SDK. You've got no access to the provisioning profile or a way to authorize certificates necessary for the deployment to the device.

Short story: No, it does not work. You have to pay $99 upfront if you wish to develop and deploy to the iPhone.

If you have paid the $99, you get access to the "Member Center" where you can
create the necessary files to deploy apps to you iOS device.
