Can I play this with my friends in the US even though I have a PAL version? I know PS3 games are region free but sometimes multi player can't be. I know Borderlands and some other games allow for multi region online playing. Will this game?

I'm importing this from the UK even though I'm in the US and have a region question.

I would assume so. I havn't played any Playstion or Xbox game that didn't let me play games with friends from USA.

Any reason why you are importing it? Games are a bit cheaper in the USA and as you said PS3 games are region free.
