So I hate to be "That" person, and ask the most ridiculous question ever...
But I just started playing around with UDK, so I thought I would start off by watching some tutorial videos. I found a really nice series and started following the videos. Well not far in, I came to an issue, and I cant follow what the video says to so, because of something different in my UDK... and I'm wondering if its just because my version is different, or what...
But the issue is, after extruding my brush, I try to move one of the corners down in geometry mode from the overhead view, but its only giving me very strange translation directions... instead of north/south and east/west its giving some very odd angle, and its extremely difficult to get what I want, and its completely warping the brush....
Here is a Screenshot of what I'M getting
While, you know, heres what I should be getting:
I wouldn't really mind this issue and would just use what was there, to move the corners into place... except that moving one corner, changes the other corner's translation tools to a completely different angle, and that makes getting them even impossible...
I've checked my settings, and there is nothing out of place, and I haven't played with any settings. I've made sure that (from what I can see) my settings are exactly the same as in the guy's video too.
Honestly, it makes sense that I would be able to translate those corners up and down only from the overhead view... so I'm completely baffled as to WHY its forcing me to use such a bizarre angle :/
And for reference I'm using August 2010 version because anything newer wont start up on my computer.
