    Default Any Import Weapon Tutorials?

    Hi guys,

I was recently following tutorials trying to implelement an M9 into my game and the problem is that they use nFringe to debug and run the new code for the weapon.

Does anyone know of any tutorials that don't use nFringe as the compiler and use Unreal Frontend to see the changes?

I've got my weapon set up and skinned, created a class extending the shock rifle.

    Thanks,

    Dean

You don`t need nFringe, you could use any Text editor to follow the tutorial, I'm using Code::Blocks for example.

You can use Unreal Frontend as your Compiler

That's the problem, how do i get the Unreal Frontend to compile using my new files?

That's why i was hoping for a tutorial without the need for nFringe. God i hate that thing, it's too buggy for me

All you need to do is reopen the UDK, if you've set everything up correctly, then it will ask you to recompile all the code.

    nFringe is not buggy?

Good grief people, coding UnrealScript is pretty much the exact same thing as coding with notepad, except you have syntax highlighting and Go To Definition.

Do you see the Make Button in Unreal Frontend. If you hit it, the compiler compiles your files, you just have to put them in the right folder.

You need to search for a compiling tutorial not a weapon tutorial. If you still have trouble post back.

Sorry for the late reply, on holiday at the moment.

It's not that i don't know how to compile, i want a tutorial that shows how to import a gun without using nFringe, any ideas?
