Default How does the testing app installation process work?

I was reading over the documentation and noticed that the UDK tools directly install the test version of your game on to the iPhone/iPod/iPad? On Windows, I thought that you could only install apps by using iTunes (performing a sync or dragging/dropping the app manually) without jailbreaking (I would guess that UDK isn't Jailbreaking your device).

Is there an API in iTunes that UDK is using to install the app programmatically?

    BTW, great release Epic Games!

    Hi Droidix,

UDK does require iTunes to be installed in order to deploy to connected iOS hardware, but it happens without any visual prompting in the iTunes interface.

The iOS device is not modified and is not jailbroken in any way.

    Cheers,
