Import texture errors
I've never had this issue before.
I am trying to import a few textures and UDK gives me the error "Import Failed."
The textures are 512x512 in size/ RGB / 8-Bit channel
What could be the issue?
I am using the August UDK.
What format are they? DDS, TGA, WTF, BMP, PNG?
Make sure that it's not compressed or interlaced.
I use Targa's.

Never heard of interlaced.
Interlaced is a PNG version of compression.
I don't use TGA enough to know the specifics on what's required or how. Usually, when I'm using Save As in Photoshop, it'll have a bunch of options to allow me to choose how/if I want it compressed.
I do know that with TGA, you have to ensure that you are using 8 bits/channel. So, an 8 bit TGA would have to be greyscale. An RGB TGA must be 24 bit. An RGBA (Color with an alpha) must be 32 bit.
I can't help beyond that.
Make sure there are no spaces or weird characters in the name of or the path to the texture as well. There should be no issue with a .tga file saved from Photoshop.
Maybe it is problem with resolution. try to stick with classic like: 128/256/512/etc.
