Map Check alert
Every time I build the map I get an alert when it does the map check:
TERRAIN MATERIAL: Texture parameter name duplication - Main Bumpoffset
Not sure how to fix this, it's just a warning and nothing seems wrong with the terrain.
That means that 2 of your terrain materials use the same parameter name.
You fix it by changing the parameter names to not be duplicates in your materials.
Unfortunately, terrain doesn't support multiple instances (Material Instances) of the same material for that very reason.
How do I go by fixing that? I do not see anything using 2 materials, in fact my terrain only uses 1.
Are you using that material on more than 1 layer?
If you are, then you are using the parameter names in that material twice. Once for each layer. You need a different material for each layer if you use parameters.
If your terrain only has a single layer with a single material, then you have two parameters in the material with the same name. Post a screenshot of the material if you can't find it.
I'm guessing that you're looking for a parameter that controls your bumpoffset.
It looks like one of the textures in UDK was causing that as it was only 1 layer in the terrain using 1 texture. I opened up the BumpOffset and saw something similiar and I messed with that one texture a bit, then said "screw it" and ended up using another and the error is gone. Meh, whatever, thanks for the help as I did see the problem, but it was just a simple material and I used one similar to it so, thanks!
