I plan on living here, at least part-time.
I haven't done anything in a professional capacity yet, but do have a couple homes in progress (for myself), and have a project coming up that involves a commercial space.
My main focus in UDK is still on the game side, but I studied architecture and have always enjoyed building, so I've been having a great time doing this, too.

Well, if I ever get permission to SHOW the stuff we've done in the UDK, i'm sure it would be a big hit. Unfortunately, it's all top-secrety kinda stuff. One day, I'll get something that's not so secret to post here.
Our company does a lot of architecture engineering and construction viz work and we're moving heavily to real-time and the UDK because it's awesome. Here's our website, you can see the kinds of thing we've done in non-real-time there:

I am an architecture student researching the use of UDK for visualization + as a tool in the design process (ie multiplayer playtesting of designs, context analysis, etc).
I am starting to learn UDK literally today. I look forward to seeing examples of architectural applications for UDK.

I work for an Architectural company that specialize in commercial staircases and I've been introducing them to Unreal and the potential it might have to create virtual reviews/walkthroughs (or walkupsanddowns may be a better term in this case) for clients of the designs before they are built. They are keen but there are no big plans atm, so I have just started to do some tests...

Hi, I'm Marc Weston.
I've been working long term on a personal project to bring to (3D) life an old theatre that was demolished in my home town in 1991. As a kid I loved the place, and a few years ago a friend and I were talking about it when my eldest son asked what we were talking about. I thought it would be great if he could see it as I saw it. So I started researching, digging up any and all information and began building it from the ground up in 3DSMAX. When I discovered UDK I thought my dreams had come true. I could now turn my model into a walkthrough. I'm no architect, I'm no programmer and I work full time, as well as help my wife raise our seven children. My time is limited and the learning curve is steep, but each day I get a little closer to my goal. Any pointers on how to create a better walkthrough would be appreciated.

I'm interested to see how this develops. As a former drafter, I can tell you that there are easier to use programs for making "simple" projects, like houses. But as for super structures and roadways, I can see how Unreal can fill a gap in the current technology. The only thing limiting this technology is the lack of knowledge among professionals, which I’m sure Epic is trying to change. As I said earlier, I’m really interested in how this progresses.

Hi, I'm Vitorio, and I'm neither an architect nor 3D artist of any sort.
Eleven years ago, I ran "Unrealty," an architectural visualization product and design group using the first Unreal engine.
We licensed our custom UnrealEngine1 editor to firms doing visualization, and did projects ourselves. As a business, it was difficult to get traction (as at least one other poster here has found), but by the time we closed up shop, I felt I had a good idea as to what did and didn't work, and I consulted briefly for a couple of other startups that wanted to try similar things.
HKS is the only firm I know that has found lasting success, first with UnrealEngine2, and later with their own license of UnrealEngine3, but they're also a full service architecture firm, not a dedicated visualization studio.
I'll probably just lurk here, but wanted to introduce myself in case my experience might still be relevant.
