a cruel joke on my part... jace stratton figure

so, my brother thought it would be funny to hide my jace stratton figure as it arrived today, it isnt or never was at the mail office... i was not in any way impressed with his "joke" turns out i did miss the mail man but as he was on his way out of my garden havin already posted the mail office collection ticket, my brother happened to intercept him and collect it. dont worry i do plan revenge for this but moving on...

i got my jace stratton figure, he does not have a marcus neck thank god, his neck is a ligter tone then his face though but ive put that down to necas paint plans as compared with my marcus fenix it is a completely different tone, so if you get a jace and you think his neck is lighter then his face, dont panic, its supposed to be like that unless the difference is anything less then obvious you shouldnt worry.

another point, we didnt get completely pined off, his chest armour has excessive wear in its paint job, marcus fenix has shiney armour, jace has very battle worn painted armor, it looks wicked, i know its not much of a difference but its something to tell them apart by and anythings a bonus right.

the box, is completely awesome i love it and the face sculpt of jace is out of this world, its a shame they couldn't do more with him but im very happy with it and i do think its worth buying.

My Jace's neck matches his upper face, then blends into a 5 o'clock shadow type beard growth. Looks nice. My armor looks the same as Marcus' but the face sculpt IS truly amazing. Spot on with he comics and gameplay shots. Im not totally disappointed with Jace, hes a whole new character, and it proves NECA is willing to take a little risk and try something new. So maybe we'll see some good stuff in the future.


BTW They better keep the package design the same for the rest of the Gears 3 figures, its the best of them all.

i agree the package is very very good, ill post a picture of my jace to show you his battle worn armor, it looks really good, i too think they should have done alot more with him, it just looks so obvious that its a rehash marcus, it isnt game accurate, height i can deal with, if its off scale i dont mind but the character desgin has to be spot on and if you look at the in game pictures of jace its completely different armor: http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgur...1t:429,r:2,s:0

the box says gears of war 3, so keep it gears of war 3... the jace we got is more of a comic type jace but even then his sleeves are not rolled up on the figure, it is disappointing for the fans. i do think neca did this with the aim of being able to rehash a gears of war 3 armord jace stratton, its all marketing afterall and if they can make cheaper figures using the same parts they will be able to make more money, i think they gave us this unaccurate figure on purpose, people will want an accurate jace stratton and will buy one, thus putting more money into neca's bank account and that my friends is neca's goal achieved.

if you look past the fact that he has the same armor as marcus fenix the figure is spectacular but again, its hard not to look past that.

much confidence there... and it pains me to say i agree with you. the decision is final and the gears 3 packaging is already out, dizzy and tai are gears of war 2 figures. i dont know what the hell is going on with skorge and the boomers either, i have a disturbing feeling the idea for them has been scrapped... someone please please please prove me wrong with cold hard evidence.

i think the next comic-con or trs exclusives could, with a bit of luck be dizzy, tai or skorge as exclusive figures seem to be the only hope of seeing one of these guys but going on what we have seen lately it wouldnt surprise me if the next comic-con exclusive is a beast rider with no helmet..........

i dont like to hate on neca as i have undieing love for their figures and always will but lately they really seem to be dealing us a bad hand.
