Getting back into paints, guys! Project has been on and off... but hopefully I can get back into it and polish it up!

So, in that case, here's a little preview... You guys are the first to see this. I love the Grenadier piece I did a while back... in fact, so much, that I wanted to do another one. And when this bad boy came out... well, I was itching to paint something like it.




The B/W version is there to see any inconsistencies... something that I regularly do. If you guys paint in Photoshop, that's a tip. Occasionally switch it from color to B/W. It helps a lot. Flip your canvas from time to time, and take moments to step back and observe.

And of course, I've started another one recently as well... NOT Gears related... but it's still Epic. I'll show you guys the WIP, anyways.

The savage grenadier reminds me of Mortal Kombat for some reason. Looks mighty fine too, liking the detail on the ammo pouches and the lighting and coloring is just... wow.

There was some digital artwork I seen a while back of the yellow ninja guy. It kinda reminds me of that. And the lizard guy. Kind of.

Thanks, Boss. Yeah, you're right about spending a lot of time on this guy. I wanted to push it a little more and see what can come out, plus with all the stuff I've learned. I hope all of that made it successful.

Oh yeah, I've seen his stuff. "Epic" describes it best. First took notice of him when I came across some of his Halo artwork, then dug up the rest. He's got a really amazing grip on the sense of scale, I still vividly remember his Hydra-esque creature. Great person to look up to
