Hey guys! Welcome to my art thread. This is my very first post here on the forum, and thought I'd properly introduce myself. My name's Tim, and I am currently attending art school. My decision to finally choose what I wanted to do was when I found Gears. Beautiful game, amazing storyline, just the concept as a whole completely caught my attention.

Of course, my story doesn't stop there. Since joining the Epic Community here back in 2010, I never would have realized that I would become Team Epic Gamer. It is quite an honor to represent the Epic Gamers and the fan artists. With that privilege, I have been working closely with Epic Games to not only create content that I hope you'll all enjoy, but to feature the great stuff that all of you are throwing out as well.

Without further ado, I definitely want to start by showing some of my draws. What better to do than to show my love for Gears to other Gears fans. I hope you like some of them.

You may notice that a lot are "Locust." While I do other work besides them, I just find that creatures and creepy characters are what I find super awesome to whip up.

That's good to hear and on a kind of off topic note, I don't know if you've played Bioshock before but I can imagine you doing some awesome art for that..

roflmao! Yeah, I've done Delta... apparently it got some attention in the UK in a small blog. I don't have the link to it anymore... but yeah.

I love Locust and COG but out of all the Locust I love Therons and Grenadiers most!

Update on Grenadier WIP:

Wow, those are awesome! You have an excellent sense of shading and color, makes them look almost real.

The Lambent and the last drone in particular look pretty sinister. Lol, almost makes me wanna grab a Lancer and put some holes in them.

Brilliant job on the Theron and Grenadier wip.
The hide texture, especially around the shoulders / neck is brilliant.
The Silver colors add a brilliant sort of feel to it, cold and powerfull.

So some people have been asking me for a higher-res. Ever since I've started posting here. I'll think about it. Maybe in a similar fashion with the amazing COGs that Epic just recently put out. What do you think?

Here's an update on the Grenadier before I call it done (working on his legs, but I think he's worthy enough to be an awesome sauce wallpaper. )
