the anthony carmine toy exclusive from SDCC 2008 is going for like 200-300, but the 2009 SDCC exclusive lambent grenadier can still be found for $20...
why is that???
were there just a lot more of the lambent grenadier made?

It's Carmine, a fanboys dream.
ive no idea... surely they make the same amount of exclusives each time round, that would be kinda silly if they made 3 times more lambent grenadiers then carmines, id just assume that carmine is a much more popular character. if they brought out a skorge exclusive as opposed to a ticker exclusive, i think skorge would clear shelf space faster dude.

Less than 2000 Carmines were ever released, while the Lambent Grenadier was largely plentiful compared to the other figure.

From what understand something like 10,000 Lambent Locusts were made. As were <500 of the A. Carmines were made. I remember getting this figure from NECA via email quite some time ago. I'll see if I can dig it up later.

Luck V3 how many times do I have to tell you bro? That site I told you about has RAAM VS Kim for $30. It's totally worth it. Sure the shipping is expensive, add a Locust Hive Set, or a couple Locust figures to make it worth it.
Hastings is a books, music, movies, and games store. They also sell collectibles like neca toys and hot toys. I live one state above you (new mexico) you should see if you have one.
Gohastings.com
Btw their website prices and stock does not represent what they have in store. So its REALLY REALLY REALLY a place you have to physically go to. But if you see something on their site you want their quality and shipping is legit. I often order from there when the online price is cheaper than the store.
Nice! Good luck with the call, my store here stinks at looking up stuff. At this point when gears, street fighter, predators, hot toys, etc come in on the trucks the backroom guys just pull them for me before they put them out and take them to the music desk. Otherwise when I call they are always like "uh... I don't know how to look that up?" Lol.
The SDCC Anthony Carmine had an edition run of 2K because the license was relatively new and unproven since Series one was the only product that was released shortly before the event. Randy made the decision to place the Lambert Locust and the 1:1 electronic Lancer on Amazon for public consumption and warehouse shipping issues. The Lambent Locust edition size was never released, but some collectors have estimated it at 4-5K because collectors were complaining about Carmine's limited accessiblity. When you oversaturate the market with product, there's less demand and the investment plateaus.
I personally asked Randy this when I went to the NECA booth and he assured me that the Jace Stratton was an edition size of 2K. Only 10% of the figure inventory was sent to Amazon for the general public that couldn't make it to the Con. I also asked about any change in the decisions to release a Tai Kaliso or Dizzy Wallin figure. The answer was still "no" due to the fact that they couldn't use the body again since their armor is so different from the other COGs. Randy reiterated that the tooling is simply too expensive for one-shot figure forms such as Tai & Dizzy. Although Randy knew that Tai was dead, he didn't know that Dizzy would reappear in Gears 3 until I told him. After this exchange of info, he said,"We'll have to see then." In addition, Randy was hoping that the Series line containing Skorge, Kantus, & Mauler Boomer was going to make it shortly after Comic-Con, but it is still being manufactured in China as we spoke. Randy could not confirm any definitive ETA on it, but he did express his frustration at it.
