    EDIT: Well, Washington D.C.. That's on the east coast. I would say it would be better to count the difference between the west coast and Europe.

    Well as long as this isn't being played before 17.00 GMT +1 on my server, I'm okay, since I have to travel with train and this'll be the time i'll be done setting up the server. Just tell me the time we can start as long as it is after 17.00 GMT +1. Also include this for EVERY time zone, like I do below.

    So 17GMT +1 == 5PM GMT +1
    So take a look below how late 5 PM is in your timezones

    Yeap, that sounds about right. Even on the west coast it would be 10 AM, so it's not impossible to make it.

    that schedule is good for me, I am GTM+00, so 4pm is good.

    A question we didn't answer yet was this one:
    What is the gravity value for UT3 gameplay for UT2004?
    Well, it's about 1250. It's not 100% the same but it's very very very close. You can start with this value and try to find the exact one. Maybe someone knows the original value. But I'm not sure if it would be the same on the UE2. Maybe there's a difference?
    It would be good to use melissa_jo's Gravity Adjustment mutator.
    We wanted to play with the UT3 Style mutator by GE on Suspense2k4 by Jeffrey.
    I recommend to set a password which will be sent per PM to everybody who wants to play in our CT so that only the community can play.
    Remember: It's a Community Tournament

    One problem tought, I have a difrent version of UT3 Style Mutators, I have the ammo and armor pickups like UT3 already(because of the help I gave to GreatEmeral), and if the UT3 Vehicles mutator is used and there is a Helbender to replace the game crashes, so I am going to delete everything I have of UT3 Style and install the Beta3. I assume I have beta3.5 LMAO

    So what ur actually saying is that we want to play in UT3 style? Well, not really what I thought but if people want so, i'm okay, after all it's about the fun BUT, when we do it all in UT3 style I need either a good redirect for the server, or just let us all download the stuff manually and giving the download links in the PMs.

    We need to be VERY sure what mutators we are going to add, and be sure what gametypes we will use, I will need the download links on friday.

    It can be still very useful. How about ... uhm.. change the location of the mutator files so that you don't have to replace them? Or a very silly idea: New beta.

    You uploaded the changes to Git, so they are there for the whole public. Just make sure you did commit and push everything

    Yeah, I agree on that. A mutator vote would be better.

    Files we (might) need:
    • Gravity Adjustment mutator (by melissa_jo) with a gravity value of ~1250 (for UT3's gravity, can be set in settings. Default is 0)
    • The latest beta of theUT3 Style mutator (by Great Emerald)
    • vCTF-Suspense2k4 (by Jeffrey) (you have to download the ONS version to have all essential files to play this map)
    • Hm... we could also play and test some UC maps with UC weapons (by FewPosts). What do you think? If GPing agrees you will need these files.

    Did I forget anything GPing?

    Just had an idea:
    I know that sounds very selfish but:
    We could also test my Face99 map. I never really had the time to test it with a group of people online to see if the gameplay works well or if you can exploit some parts of the levels architecture.
    Just an option. I don't care a lot if you want to add it to the event or not since I will test it with some friends sooner or later.

    Some random thoughts:
    I'd also suggest to add my Overlord remake so that we would have at least one custom AS map but sadly I didn't had the time to replace the projectile spawner with the online projectile spawner and to make it compatible with weapon replacement mutators. I think this thought wasn't very good. Maybe I should do it quickly? Depending on what you'd like to do. Add or refuse adding it. A map I'd really like to play with you would be Reconstruct by Angel Mapper (Invasion, just for fun ). If you know another cool & custom AS map we could add could you post a link of it so that we can take a look at it if we don't know it? How long would the event be? 4 hours?

    Well, I could quickly replace the projectile spawner in my map with the online version (very annoying if an invisible projectile kills you all of the sudden) and replace all weapons with weapon bases for weapon replacement mutator compatibility if you like. I could do that at 6 o' clock when I'm home.
    At least we would have one (working) custom AS map then.

    Yeah, you're right. A demo would be a nice "gift".
    I hope this will become a regular and popular event
    I'll edit my map in 30 minutes and post a "new beta" in my thread so that you can download it.

    @Darkemule: If you can't I think (and hope) this won't be the first and last CT so I think if not this time then maybe next time

    Maybe I'll have CTF-High done until next time. I think I will release one of my own maps in 1 month especially for the next CT with a nice UT2004 community billboard (in a special edition).

    Just launched UT and was only as good as an godlike bot T_T (Well, didn't play for more than a month)
    What concerns the demo I think I'm out. I have no software to do that and my PC is not the best. Btw going to upload my online Overlord version in a few minutes.

    Okay, it seems like I'm stuck with Wormbo's network projectile spawner (great tool but a bit confusing). I thought it would be fast but it seems that it will take quite a while.

    Well, it's best to record a server-side demo. And guess what's the best for recording server-side demos?

    Recording a demo is no big deal anyway. You just need a bit of space and that's all.

    Btw does anybody know how I can make the projectile fall faster without changing the gravity?

    I only record demos in UT3, there is an option to enable record demo, I got a mid-air headshot, I think it is recorded, and I also got a lot of headshots while they were in the air, offcourse this was off-line, can't do a headshot online, too much lag :/

    I'll at least come watch. Maybe I'll even say screw it and go ahed and play with 150+ ping. At least there will be something to laugh at? oO

    Demos can just be done with a demorec, even if you lower details and all of that. You can use the fraps method to finalize into a high visual quality video or w/e. Search the forums for "animated gif tutorial." eveil<3 wrote it (or someone like that) Just demo each match, and then go back and FRAPS them later on. Easy breezy. Unless Emerald was saying there is something easier....
    If I end up coming to watch, I'll demo everything, but you may still want to was well becasue ping can effect the "visual action" if you will.


    You guys got a server and a IP for it I can add to favs?
