I.) The purpose of this thread is to assist with three basic functions for Gears of War Action Figures:

Objective 1: Tutorials for anything that might be useful for collectors of action the figures which can be easily explained through diagrams, pictures, and youtube videos.

Objective 2: Guides for repairs for our figures that are simple and can work in any country around the globe for all the loyal fans who appeal to this section.

Objective 3: A guide to making all the customs you wish to share with the community in an easy set up: An easy formula that explains which parts are used and how you combined them into making your custom of choice!

Ideas are welcomed to this thread if you wish to add them!

Glad to help! One note though... MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T HAVE A STICKY RESIDUE SURFACE! You'll ruin your packaging.

what paints do you guys use ive seen the games workshop paints and they seem really good im thinking of painting some blood off the lancers as tbh i think it looks pants

Games workshop paints work well, as do Airfix ones (although they are often runny). Most acryllics work well too.

i have a question, is there any way to get the broken pegs out of weapons? i mean, you know how you can attach spare weapons to the backs of the figures in the later series? well one of mine snapped off in the box, i have a spare peg but the origional one is still jammed in the weapon but doesnt protrude (like it doesnt actually stick out so you cant get a grip of it) ive getting it out with a pin but that didnt help. any suggestions?

Just blob some model airfix glue on a cotten bud and leave it then give it tug it should come out cut the cotten but in half and use the plastic bit

Games worksop paints are proberly the best paints i can think of if painting g.o.w figures

try getting a sewing needle behind it, when its behind it, push the needle away from the peg so it kinda catapults it out

i have an entertaining idea for a custom figure...you know how neca makes Twilight AND Gears figs so why not have an edward cullen cog soldier? Or a Jacob COG? huh? I don't know it would be kind of funny to see. IMO. :\

Waste of money if you ask me. I wouldn't desecrate the Gears of War name by associating anything with those twinkle-fairies in it.

To OP, theres this stuff called Goo Gone, it will absolutely eat a sticker and all reside off of a clamshell. its safe for carded figures too, wont peel the cardboard itself, just the sticker. Its saved MANY of my figures.

HAW...I did grab a jacob for parts and his head wouldn't look so bad given some touch-ups...maybe some blue eyes and scars...i like his faux hawk...i've been considering it...but screw edward...that figure (as well as the man) looks...odd (to be nice)

LOL I'd like to see it if you'e put it on a COG body...Doms because of the same skin tone I guess.

yeah these figs are out and they're pretty cool. I just don't really know enough about Jonah Hex to get myself to buy any of them.

I'd only buy them for making custom stranded characters... it would save me from having to make outfits and stuff myself.

That's a cool idea- wouldn't have thought of using Turnbull to make a Stranded.

I have a question. I accidentally broke the Lancer and Gnasher Shotgun off of my Series 5 COG Soldier, and I have no idea how to replace them. They're broken beyond repair, and I'm not sure if NECA could help me. I'm willing to buy them, but I'd rather not buy a new figure as then that figure wouldn't have any weapons.

It would be hard to pull off... I don't tamper with my Lancers... but I've often given it thought.

I've got a buttload of new Locust customs on the way... to share with you guys, I'll tell you what to expect.

- Savage grenadier (which is looking the best).
- Digger Boomer (I'll make once I get a second boomer figure).
- Scavenger Drone (still in prototype mode).
