Well trying to retro-fit graphics is kinda headache inducing, so re-creating them from scratch is often the better choice. I have an idea I can try, it's something similar to what you did with that banner, just with added snow, gimme a day or two.

I have to say this is an impressive body of work. I am pleased to see FFC up and running again. I am even more impressed that not only does it follow the same organization that the old one did, you improved on it and made it your own. You don't need my approval but you got it anyway. I can safely say it is left in good hands.

BTW I will be around more often due to summer and GOW3 coming. Also please do not forget to mention Waldo, he was and is a huge part of making FFC a reality (after all it was him and I who saved it from the dustbin and got it stickied). So make sure you include him in the description. I do not want such an important person as waldo to be forgotten. Also do not forget The Evil Hat as well.

Anyhoot, I was trying to keep it true to the original as much as possible, while hoping to add some more graphics, consequently getting the "art community" involved as well. But I'm glad you approve it...I'll be sure to mention Waldo and Evil hat; thanks for mentioning them to me, otherwise I wouldv'e never known,

Yeah, I'm thinking of going the technical route to get things looking more satisfactory, I get really annoyed when things look kinda crappy. Lol, not quite ready to invest in Trapcode yet, but maybe some free plugins might work?

Actually, since it's animated, and there's a need to keep file sizes manageable, it would be smaller... but more badass.

I couldn't find any usable free tech (), which means I had to create everything from scratch, which means a pretty involved work flow for something so simple, and more chance for errors and general crappiness. But... looks promising so far. I'm hopefully optimistic.

That'll work...I like it...although I can see what you mean as far as getting the looping just right, but that's a completely different animal...and besides, later down the road, if you piddle with it here and there, you might tweak it to you're liking and just repost it then...fortunately we have that option to update as often as we desire.

It's actually a large blob of rain going right by the camera that throws the looping off. But I doubt I'll be revisiting this anytime soon, lol. I get bored easily, so once I've finished something I quickly move on to whatever grabs my attention next.

Ok yea...I remember my spouse having similar issues when he was doing starship animations...he kept playing with the camara angle, trying to get it just right.

Sigh, I miss Blender...we actually had the program on another computer but the graphics card, that just so happened to have been built into the mother board (hence we couldn't just replace it), went out. Never again will I buy anything from Gateway.

Camera angles, lighting... there's just so many variables in 3D that when you try something unfamiliar, strange things can happen...

I couldn't find any good (and more importantly, free ) apps to do this, so I ended up creating everything from nothing. Hand animating ripples, painting raindrops, it was a lot more involved than I would have liked. Still, it doesn't look as antiquated as the software used to make it, so I can't complain too much.

@Jay, glad you like it Jay. I actually like how the Omen is distorted by the ripples, now that's cool.
