Nah, if it happens it will be free for all, I despise all forms of elitism and cliqueyness. First we gotta organize it, choose judges, lay out rules and find someone dumb enough to bug Fl4K for freebies.

Hopefully the prize will be a signed Gears of War novel... hopefully.



I'm adopting the Revenant Gear approach for mine. In other words, a betrayed Gear who returns from to grave to seek revenge. But people can take any approach they like. They can make the Reaper death, the actual dude, death. Or they could make the Reaper some sort of Locust entity. Limits are the participants imagination. And that's all I know so far.

Yeah, I'm going to go with a Locust entity who, at its end, prepares to terrorize Halvo Bay, created from a certain big boom in the Judgment campaign. It's going to be a Kantus named Pandit (hint hint).

Umm, not entirely sure. Basically you'd fill Cros' now vacant shoes for this once off. However, it would be posted both here, and in the Judgment forum. That, of course, runs the risk of it disappearing from the first page in mere minutes.

Think of it as being the monthly writing competition, with the theme being "Origin of the Reaper"

So are we supposed to approach this in a "unknown phenomenon" kind of setting, or am I totally off? You may have to elaborate; i'm slow...

It's entirely up to you if you wanna do it as a legitimate Supernatural (season 8 rocks! ) thing, or if you wanna do it as having a scientific basis. Or hell, who knows? Maybe it's just a stranded in a mask scaring Gears purely for laughs and giggles and he's eventually found out by Scooby and the gang? I should mention, that the Kantus powers can be viewed as being either supernatural or fringe science based, depending on your point of view. So it's not as if Gears hasn't at least touched on the subject before.

We don't have cable, we have Netflix so we'll have to wait for season 8...but point taken. I'll see what can conjure up.

For the second chapter of Gears of War: Retribution, I will introduce Mercen (or Mercy, maybe) and Greenday Woodward, two more members for the squad. Mercen served in the final years of the Pendulum Wars like Marcus did but during a tour, he became a POW to the Union and was forced to hear his squad being tortured and broken one-by-one until they were rescued by another squad of Gears. The event traumatized Merc and as a result, he developed an intense hatred toward the UIR. It will hopefully create tension between him and Prometheus. On the other hand, Merc also cares for his younger brother, Green, and goes great lengths to keep him safe. However, Green joined the army right before E-Day so he has no previous war experience.

However, I don't know what to portray them as. Should they have been recently rejected by their parents (because Merc was a bad influence on Green because Green threw away a brilliant college plan to be with his brother) or something else?

I initially had a question asking if I should be the one to bug flak as you mentioned earlier, due to me having no infractions unlike a certain someone. I edited it out after a while though once I thought that you possibly meant whoever bugs flak also has to essentially "host" the whole thing, and I am WAY too new to do something like that, so I cut it out.

Also the only reason this went by so fast is because it's a oneshot, not an actual chapter of a full-lengh story. Just ask my small number of fans on FF, they can confirm that when it comes to chapters in a full-lengh story, 9 times out of ten I am far from fast.
