MP: Keep the character's old models optional in MP!

I think the new look for the characters is great

but it would be much cooler if the new MP character selection gave you the option to select the old player model. So if someone selects Dom he will be given an option to choose between the new Dom or the one on the previous Gears. By doing that we will have a large variety of options to choose COG characters.. and hopefully they will include again the fallen soldiers(Kim, Tai, the carmines) Dizzy who is missing or probably dead we don't know, Hoffman(we didnt see him n the trailer).

and last but not least they should include character customization or something like that

it would be awesome. someone should start a poll on these subjects. have a nice day fellow soldiers and thank you for taking the time to read this.

as long as i still have Anthony Carmine i will be happy, but his suck it line would make me happier

maybe give you the option to choose which Marcus, Dom, etc. you want to use, the more options for characters the less likely for people using the same characters which i like because its harder to get confused on which teammate is which.

I would love unlockable older skins in gears 3. I love the way cole looks now. And I don't really like how old he looks in the new trailer. But I would cope if it's not possible.

EDIT: I feel sorry for the developers, having to sift through all of these ideas on these boards. lol

yea it gets confusing when you see someone sneaking up on a teammate and you yell behind you Marcus, and half your team thinks your talking to them. or if you are in a fight and hear someone say your character and you think your about to get double teamed when its a different teammate instead.

If you had Gears 1 and unlocked a certain achievement in it (don't remember off the top of my head) then you'd be granted Anthony Carmine in Gears 2. You could also use this method to get General RAAM.

I'm hoping this nifty feature makes it's way into Gears 3. It'd grant long time players of the series access to the older and (in my opinion) more likable armors.

yeah I get you and probably a lot of people won't like some of the new models and they would probably love to stick with the older one :P

Seeing how much Epic has listened to us with female cogs and 4 player co-op and other stuff. I would say that player customization has a big chance!!

It can even support Cliffy's RPG Shooter craving.

Seriously though, I dont know why but I dont want "skin" customization in any Gears game. It just feels... not Gears for me.

well that was a little extra to the post xD but what I'm really expecting is to see the old models back in gow3, I mean keeping both new/old. I personally like to play using Dominic, but It's gonna feel weird using the new one xD I feel like it's not him( don't take me wrong I love how he looks) but I would love to be given the option to choose between using the old/new model when I select Dom

I totally understand about the customization options, but what about keeping the old skins/models of the characters as optional in MP? that was the whole idea of the post
