Something tells me this won't replace the chainsaw one for MP, it will probably just be another choice. Since I haven't read the books yet can someone explain to me the differences between the two lancers ?

they use similar types of ammunition, and function pretty much the same. They only changed the bayonet because the knife wasn't affecting the locust much.

@Domfess, if I'm right, the books say that the lancer can be switched between full automatic, and burst firing

I think it might be a burst weapon as well if you watch dom use it in the trailer, might just be me.

And it fires slower, as Hoffman states in Aspho Fields when him and Tai get ambushed. It also has a scope, not like a sniper, but it's still something.

Also, if you notice, Anya uses the Lancer with a Chainsaw Bayonet so its gonna be like the Shotgun maybe? Where both the Gnasher and the new Double Barreled one appear?

Also, why the hell would Dom make the switch to the Pendulum Lancer?

1. Supplies are low and they have to dip into old supplies? (Maybe supplies that their newfound UIR "Friends" might have?)

2. Dom is trying to supress Post E-Day memories by switching to a model of the Lancer that doesn't evoke those memories?

Hopefully it will do something better than the chainsaw Lancer, to give players a reason to pick it up over the chainsaw.

It's either that or it will be the weapon you use when you can't find a chainsaw and want to use the Lancer.

In Jacentos Remnants, Marcus uses his Bayonet Lancer on a Locust and it brakes it. Hence the needed upgrade. I hope the game follows this chapter in the book.

wow really.... you just figured this out... but what i want to know is did anyone know on gears 2 if you leave the game at the start menu just before the main menu itll play a video.... when it plays the video near the end just before a cog throws a smoke it show a cog running and right in front of the screen on the left. if you pay attention hes running with a p. lancer....

idk who all knows about this but i just saw it the other day and i was all tripped out when i saw, i was all WTF!!!
