Default 3D Max character anomation help

    hi guys

so here is a screenshot of some poses I made in 3D Max. I also made a little animation which consists of goin from pose A to pose B and back to pose A

i used the file that is on the epic udn site. i deleted the character so that all i have left is the skeleton thingy

when i export the poses and animations to UDK as a .PSK, the skeletal mesh in UDK jus doesnt animate or do anything

does anyone know why its not animating by any chance???

For a start, that's called the Biped : ) It's intergrated as part of the character studio toolset in max and is used for animation purposes.

I think, from the information so vaguely presented here, that you have not set up proper skinning on the mesh character.

Are you trying to import the Biped system into UDK?

I can't, unfortunatley, supply you with a tutorial. Google? =]

They key here is you are using the wrong file type, PSK is for your skeletal mesh, if you want just the animation you must export to a PSA, see the export info on UDN here: http://udn.epicgames.com/Two/ActorXMaxTutorial.html

Default UT Characters or ur own?!

Do u wanna make animations with the UT characters itself or ur own?! If i'm right i understand that u wanna use the UT ones?!

    Than this might help, since it worked for me;
    - Open the UT3_Male.max (or one of the others)
    - Select everything
    - Collapse Trajectories, under the Motion-tab
    - Press 'Collapse Transform'
    - Delete all Biped
    - Make ur animation
    - Export with the use of ActorX-plugin

    Is this what u mean?!
