Question Anybody using Blender for animation?

Hi, I'm just curious if anyone does

If so, then how is it working out? Any problems with exporter/blender/etc. Any advice?

If not, well then why not?

On a more serious note, I'm just trying to find out if anyone tried importing skeletal meshes with animations into UDK from Blender and had the animation working properly afterwards.

Yes, I'm using Blender and the animations work in the Editor. I am having an issue saving the package but I think that is a separate thing.

Good to know! What about saving the package though?

It only seems to work if I leave the default MyPackage name when I import, otherwise it doesn't save.

Then renaming the package in Windows Explorer seems to work fine if I re-open the editor, the package works with it's new name. Not doing it like this, and giving it my own name on import doesn't work though, it won't save.

    Easy work-around

The current PSK/PSA exporter has quite a few limitations.

You can read more on it here. http://utforums.epicgames.com/showth...ghlight=parent

This is the one I have been using. It works well. Just can't initially name a package, but can rename it after.
