    Default Help

I have a problem with this tutorial:
    http://www.toltecstudios.com/theball/tutorialudk.htm

    In category LEVEL ..

    "Go to Binaries \ Win32 and create a shortcut to UDK.exe. Add the command line" Editor-log "behind it. For example -" C: \ UDK \ UDKExampleGame \ Binaries \ Win32 \ UDK.exe editor log. Start it. "

When opening "UDK.exe editor-log" is my game UDK (one who is put in UDK) (UTdemo) and is called editor: (

Can you tell me what to do?

Hello geodav, I will take you up on that offer if I can't get it right tonight,(can't get the code to add the strings for the buttons, Multiplayer, instant action or start).

Confusion, I think from your question you want to know how to edit the properties of the shortcut. If it is what you want, right click the shortcut to the editor, click on the bottom for the properties, and you will see a line called Target: . The end of that entry should read;"UDKLift.exe editor", you want it to end up like this;"UDK.exe editor -log".

How is it hard to navigate?

That tutorial is pretty straight forward, but you should probably start at ground zero to make sure that my assumptions are met in that segment.

We do the shortcut from the UDK (udk.exe editor-log)

    I know about license UDK?
I heard that DCA's license you can create your own separate game folder UDK
    really?

You really need to expand on what you're saying, it's not making sense at all. English is probably not your mothertongue but if you would add stuff from translators or use them for reference a little, it would be a lot clearer.

Anyhow, if you are refering to adding a seperate game folder in the dev/src and utgame/content, then yeah, you need to do that before you can actually chance stuff. If you're referring to a post-package folder, yes, UDK makes an installer which sets up a folder for your game if you choose to install it.

Part of my problem is that I am not a coder, despite the fact that I have spent many hours coding what little code there is in UnWheel 2. The UI I have never touched until a month ago.
Also, the tut is written for UT3, not UDK, and both use a different directory structure.
The final problem is that the UI_Scenes are dependent on so many config and .uc files, and I don't follow all the dependencies.

All I want is a single gametype, offline instant action with a settings page. I have most of that functioning in the Jan. build using a combination of OnClick, Console Command, and Activate Level Event. I have switched to the Feb. because of better View Culling, but the UI_Scene Console Commands and Open Scene are not functioning as in the Jan. build. The only Console Command I get to function is SHOW POSTPROCESS.
