    Default RTS style warfactory WIP

I made this for fun just to learn 3D. Didn't know what it was first but then for some reason it became a rts style warfactory/barrack
Its not omptimized for a game because its around 3500 polys and it's not uv maped yet.

    Update 2:

Reminds me of the GDI barrics from c&c. Very good for someone just starting with 3D modeling.

    @guns are toys
that's exactly what i was thinking.

btw,may i suggest you use a cloth for the flag,it will make it way more realistic and interactive.

    Guns Are Toys
Yeah now when you mention it... kinda does :S thx.
I have worked a lot with BSP over the years so I think that helps a lot learning this.
My opinion 3D are like BSP... just way more advanced and free to work with

Yeah good idea. Any idea on how to do that? I know you have to add a bone in the flag and then add
cloth phys to it (or something like that). Care to help me out?

And yeah feel free to criticise me because I want to hear what I do wrong and how I can improve.
I want to be able to work as a 3D modeller in the future if I don’t have a level design job

ravens tutorials helped me out a while ago when i tried to learn how to do this.
    hope i helped!
    as far as criticisms go.
i believe you'll have to remake it. on the top it looks a bit rough, what i mean by rough is not smooth.
delete the platform thing, you could easily recreate a newer, better one in the udk.
and recreate the fences and add them seperatly, udk was designed so that you can put multiple objects on top of each other with out using a 3d modeling program.
[that's the same case with most or all of the other editors out there]
i could list off a few more, but until you get the main things out of the way, I can't tell you much more.

Thanks I'll have a look on it! Yeah I wanted it to be a single model thats why I did it like that.

I just realised (after watching a 3D tutorial video) that this model is not that good looking
and that I need to learn how to do normal maping and projection maping and convert this to a low poly mesh
before I can start texturing this thing. So this is gonna take a while.

I should have posted this is 3D Dev and not in show off sorry...
Perhaps It can be moved by a Admin or something
