Hello,
We here at Nightwing Interactive(NWI) are currently looking for team members for a game that we're developing. NWI is an Indie team and as such we can't pay people for their work (but upon game release investors to the games license cost will receive profits relative to their percentage towards the $100 fee minus Epic Games royalties. As it stands right now the the team is comprised or two members, both of us are new to udk and the unreal engine.

As for some background info on the game it will be a single player story based FPS game with different ending for replay value. The story is still in the writing stage. But here is a little sample
“In 2026, in a remote area of the Gobi Desert, in a joint effort to solve the worlds energy crisis, British, American, Japanese, Russian and Chinese scientists built an experimental fusion energy plant. The plant spanned a radius of 60 miles. This plant which due to the heat produced had to be operated at extreme remote distance in a base 300 miles east. However during it's test phase, the fusion core expanded more rapidly than expected causing atoms to not only fuse but to also disintegrate creating an anti-matter explosion, which turned 100 miles of the Gobi Desert into a crater of molten rock and glass.“

But yeah, you'll hear the following sentence alot on these forums: "A picture is worth a thousand words."

Well when we have a picture we'll give you a picture. But quite frankly we arn't lieing with any statement we have made so flaming us with negativity such as "chance are this will never be finished" isn't really the way to go in fact if you are using the UDK yourself I doubt your game will ever be finished nor will anyones game coz most people are in the same boat of having a concept that they wish developed through the UDK. We ain't no different.

Fact is the UDK is for indie developers primarily looking to make games of their own skill level we haven't said we are pro or anything like that much to the contrary we have in fact said we need help with this and thus if you hav'nt got anything positive to add then my advice generally in terms of the outside world is don't add anything as its not polite to do so.

Lets look at it another way back in the 80's you had dev teams like Sensible Software and Bitmap brothers which by todays standards were indie, the teams started off as small as we are, and they wer'nt much older than we are either. Everyones gotta start somewhere. I suppose Johanz you were born with some innate knowledge of game design... were you... hmm. NO you say... well you have as much chance of failing as anyone else around here. So keep the negativity to yourself.

Negativity is the downfall of everything. If you have a great idea and your team is committed with a positive outlook anything and everything can be accomplished.

Thanks CupcakeMan hope to see you when we make some pre-release launches whenever that may be, obviously as we are learning a lot ourselves its slower than if we had a team of people who are in the know of these things, but its a learning chance nonetheless and hopefully some nice work can come about of it. Especially if we can get some of the types of people we asked for in the OP on board.
