The map was pavillion and me and my two friends were waiting in the lobby and this guys and his group of friends started talking bad about my one friend who is a girl about are you really a girl and stuff it was fine till on said something i cant say here i can say hey girly why dont you leave this game come to my party and play with a real man.My other friend was like wow your so sad to ask a girl on the web to bad you well stuff went down and well stuff they said would get me banned faster then you can say carmine.then game was about to start and before it started he said im MLG get ready to be killed. this is the funny thing they camped in the spawn the whole game and well they would never come out and this was before the sheild glich to go through the back door and well we beat them and the guy who said he had 5 points the most deaths and no kills really none of his group had kills and my friend who was a girl had the most kills and no deaths and he said you all #### yourshelfs and you to #####

I've never understood why people "trash talk". I know that I suck at the game, but I still enjoy playing. So why do these "Gladiators" continue to harrass me when the game is over? Why not just thank the lesser skilled people, and be thankful that you were able to run up your score without any problem? I guess that "trash talk" is the main reason that I play Horde so much, there's no trash talk and everyone has to work together as a team. If there was no Horde, I'd cancel my Xbox Live script today. People talking "trash" just shows that they are immature and that they've had no dicipline growing up.

Trash talk is stupid. It's actually the reason I never wear a mic in public. People with mics only use them to tell other players how much they suck, which is ridiculous. I never heard "Two guys by snipe", I only ever hear "F*ckin host!" or "You're all N**gers"...it's ridiculous, but I do get a laugh out of people who talk so big over the net who I'm sure wouldn't be able to back it up in person.

And Marvin, I support that you are just playing for fun. I'm a good player and I honestly would rather play with a bunch of below-average players who are enjoying themselves and at least TRYING to be part of a team effort than play with a bunch of above average players who don't really get the team concept of the game and get pissed at their teammates whenever something goes wrong for them.

As far as my own trash talking story...I really only remember one time trash talking...it was before Epic replaced players who quit with bots and I wound up by myself against four guys in a game of execution. I almost quit before the match even started but figured I'd give it a shot...I actually wound up winning the match...I was pumped to be clutch a 4v1 FIVE TIMES haha...so yeah I turned my mic on for that.

As far as people trash talking me...I remember one time before a match I said into my mic "ugh, vote for" whatever map it was...this guy started screaming at me out of nowhere just for saying that, to a point where it was obvious all he wanted to do was yell at the first person who talked, it didn't even really matter what had been said...so one round we had both been killed and he goes "OHHH CWolf, you were talking so much sh*t before the game, what do you have to say now?" and I very calmly replied "I didn't actually say anything" and then I got this ridiculous barage of swearing and name calling for like 15 full seconds...I don't let things like that bother me on a personal level, but it's a weird thing to do and I don't see how a person can let their lives get so bad that they have to take it out on others over XBL DURING A VIDEO GAME...I can only assume that his daddy beats him.

Oh and Suda...dude, punctuation would go a long way in your posts here, I can barely read this...hahaha, no h8 though, and certainly no trash talking, just saying that I like the "in your face trashtalker" tone of your post and I want to read more like it, so help a brotha out! *cyber-hug* haha

Trash talking aint all that bad, where else are we going to express all that unneeded agression? I find it quite humorous to tell an unworthy enemy to "GET RAPED"

And afterwards if someone is really complaining I ask them "YOU MAD?"

Comon, theres nothing wrong with a little bit of ingame banter but if it gets to the point where like the situation wolf pointed out then someone really needs to cool down.

I have done a few trash talking to my own team mates for stealing my kills. I have done a few to the other team as well. Sometime, I even had to swallow my own words. Now, I don't do any trash talking. My rep took some major hits when I did the smack talk. NOw, I just grind it out. It would be cool if I could just give the birdie to the other blokes. lol

I used to message "double melee noob" to double melee noobs but now, I only want to kill them, and Ill not try to play Kind. I think trash talkers are funny, me and my friends laugh at every trash talking guy who thinks he/she is good. and usually get ownded by us (if we cant win 1 vs1 we'll play like a team, and good shotgunners cant beat 2 or more, reasonable shotgunners)

I once played alongside a really awful team in Guardian and lost 3-1. Afterwards I laughed and said 'Well Blue team (we were COG/Blue)... You lot were bloody awful!'

There was a silence, and then the Red/Locust team said 'You lot werent too bad, at least you didnt have to play with my team mates, Jesus... you guys sucked. We were lucky to win!' and then Red/Locust team descended into an orgy of trash-talking each other despite winning the game! Sort of reverse psychology. Funny though, cos I was dreading the post-match lobby bit cos I was expecting to get trash-talked like crazy.
A 'pub' is a public house - not a 'public match'. Respect that.

What do you mean 'Get a life?' It's a respawning gametype - I have many lives.

What do you mean 'Rifle-whore - Go back to COD?' If you love shotguns so much why don't you go and play Duck Hunt?

my bf trash talks as a joke because theres always one psycho who will go off and its funny sometimes.

Me, i only trash talk when someones trash talking me.

    Being a girl its worse
one time i was playing guardian and this guy on my team was telling me at the beginning of the match that i suck and girls are useless and that were gonna lose with a girl on the team. I was like "i'm probably better than you" then he got pissed and it escalated into screaming and he kept saying he was gonna find me and come to my house and kill me. Anyways the match was pretty laggy (as usual) and we were playing on Jacinto so the opposite team (who had host) would get the power weapons and camp in nades with the leader the whole entire time. Maybe once in a while 1 or 2 ppl would go for our leader.
I was on top of the list with most kills and although a lot of deaths, i was the only one doing anything. The trash talker muted me after his threat, but he was at the bottom doing nothing. He was going positive with his k/d but he was doing nothing to help the team. TWO times i rushed through 4 guys guarding the leader and bodied the leader winning the round for us. It was 2-2 the trash talker still wasn't doing crap and i was leader defending myself more than half the time and someone else on my team (not the trash talker) killed the leader finally and we won.

Well living in mexico is worst, in one hand we have terrible connections, but me and my friends are lucky that many of our matches are hosted by other people usually from the States, but it seems that only for being mexican it's a sure thing to be target of trash talk, i personally don't care because i can play in any team with anyone, sometimes you win sometimes you loose, in the end it's just a game, but it seems that are more trash talkers than great teammates

I bet your name is something along the lines of x girl x or something like that. You know, if your going to throw yourself out there you should be ready to take any trash talk. I mean seriously, its like "HAI EVERYBODY, LEWK AT ME IM A GIRL LOL GIVE ME ATTENTION!" Well, he gave you some didn't he.

Oh and about the "Kill thing" Yeah lots of people get into frenzies like that. Not just because your a girl.

no my name doesn't have "girl" in it
    my gt is Angelbel
but that match back then i was Tiger Lily

I wasn't asking for attention he was the one who asked if i was a girl and yeah i answered truthfully

    really? your gonna attack me
    so typical

just sharing my story like everyone else
Just because i'm a girl that plays video games doesn't mean that i should be the target of trash talk.

Anyways i never said "oh boo hoo this guy is talking trash to me ohh noo i just lost my self esteem"
I was pretty much laughing at how much of a psycho he was.
And how much better i am at the game than he is

    wat.

First of all, I'd like to say that I'm a girl, and I talk more trash than ANYONE. EVER. IN LIFE. I have anger issues, extreme road rage, and when I get on Gears there probably isn't one sentence uttered that lacks a curse word or a statement that doesn't involve ruthless banter.

To clarify, my gamertag is the one I selected out of a list I created for potential gamertags. It's a song by an industrial-electro band called Angelspit, and was not chosen because I'm a girl- feel free to look it up if you think otherwise.

Now that that's out of the way, why should a girl have to mask the fact that they are, indeed, female? Whether it's apparent by gamertag or not most people can tell by voice only, and if they're not sure, they always ask. Should we not talk in the game chat then to avoid being verbally abused? I refuse to let my gaming experience be disturbed because some unintelligent monkeys want to make insults at a complete stranger only because they're missing a little bit of skin somewhere special.

I like people knowing that I'm a girl so when I kick their ass they can feel bad about themselves.

Angelbell is right when she says that girls get talked trash to the most. I don't even have to say anything- if my speech bubble is even visible in the game chat all I hear is "SHUT UP GIRL POISON GET BACK IN THE KITCHEN WHERE YOU BELONG". lol wat this isn't the 50's.

The first thing a girl will hear is that they're fat, ugly, 300 lb. lesbians. I have my MySpace link in my gamer profile just to disprove anyone who tries to insult me. Yeah, probably not the smartest choice, but I obviously don't care. Is it for attention? Maybe. I'm not so righteous to admit that it's not. But when I'm on Gears, I'm a gamer before I'm a girl. I'd rather someone insult me for the way I play then insult me for being female, and if they cross that line I want their pride to be hurt for being wrong.

Girl gamers don't want respect for being female, they want respect for playing and loving the game just like the rest of you. Freaking d'oh.

OKAY TO GET BACK ON TOPIC.. sort of.

I trash talk all the time. I trash talk when randoms on my team steal kills, when the enemy has a laggy host, when the enemy team 'group humps' a downed member of my team 'cos they think they're good in a 3v1, 4v1, 5v1 situation, and especially if someone wants to talk smack to me first, that gets me pumped even more. Hell, I even talk trash to my own team- people I've been playing with for months- and my boyfriend- most of them already know how I am at this point and it's usually in good fun, sometimes they'll join in and talk trash to me back. In some situations trash talk is extended over Xbox Live messaging for three or four games, and there have been plenty occasions where whoever I was talking to and I eventually cooled off, became friends and played together at a later date (one of those people is a member of this forum, actually!).

Being female, the worst people to talk trash to is.. other females, lol. I've had girls message me for talking trash to their boyfriends, talk about being insecure and over protective! Most of them call me rude names for a girl because of the whole MySpace deal, but when I ask them for their networking profile they never comply or fail to deliver. I've even tried the method above, calming down and befriending them, but it never works, I guess girls are too stubborn (imagine that!).

I have less than ten females on my friends list and only two that actively play Gears at this point in time. One of them is probably the coolest girl I've ever met on Xbox Live and the only one I really have fun playing with.

I get "chainsaw noob" a lot. Because I repeatedly chainsaw people so it makes sense. But I love how it angers people to no end. I logon to messages sent to me from my victims and am glad knowing that I have ruined their day on gears.

Other than that people go on about my rank. It's currently 66 and this game has been out for a while. But people will find anything to attack on this game.

I'm also one of those people who enjoy the anger people get in this game.
