Thumbs up Public Bug & Feature Tracker for UDK available

Decided to put it into this section instead, as that would make more sense.

    Introduction
Due to the growing amount of bugs and request, I as a developer, would lose complete sight of what has been reported and what not.

Therefore, to support UDK and its users, I created a public bug/feature tracker on which you can report bugs or requests new features in an organized matter.

    Where can I find it?
    It's located here: http://udk.lennardf1989.com

Awesome, but how do I use it?
It's simple! I enabled Anonymous usage, which means you don't have to register an account to make use of this system. If you feel like registering (and getting your name next to your bug report) then please do so! All we need to know is a username and password (for logging in, duh) and an e-mail address ONLY used for resetting your password.

To report a bug or request a new feature, click on "Report a Bug or Request a New Feature" on the top of the screen.

    1. First, select a Category.
    2. If you want to report a bug, please specify the reproducibility of it. Don't forget to tell which OS you're using UDK on!
    3. Use the summary as if it's a topic title and description the content of it.
    4. Feel free to upload attachments to prove your bug or clarify your feature request.
    5. Eventually press "Submit Report" and your bug/feature is immediately visible to everyone.

But hey, I want to update my report!
You can! Start by viewing your report, scroll down and click "Update Bug Report or Feature Request". Although this is possible, it would be better to discuss a bug using notes and only update your "first post" when strictly nessessary.

An even simpler method would be to click the little "Marker"-icon next to your report.

If you already have a topic about your bug/feature, add the link to the "UDK Forum Topic" field, so it can be discussed there! Besides that, you can be sure people will find your topic

    Notes
The system still has some things users shouldnt be seeing (as it isn't a real bug tracker where I assign task to people ofcourse), but those will eventually be removed over the coming days.

    Nice!
I love the update news with the differences between the updates. Is it possible that you release Patches so someone don't have to download the whole thing?

And how will this help, since it's not official?
I doubt Epic will even look there, seriously. Since it's not their system.

I could make that happen. Do you wish to have one for Beta 2 already?

@saymoo: Even if it's not official, it's still better having stuff reported using a proofed system (Mantis) in an organized way than having 10 different topics spread over 25 pages saying the same thing.

Besides that, by allowing Anonymous usage, you stimulate people to fill in the form (it's so simple, just go to http://udk.lennardf1989.com/bug_repo...anced_page.php and you're ready to go). So the more it's being used the more tempting it gets for EpicGames to look at it

Just as we appreciate all the great user created tutorials that are being created and all the great discussions and help that's given among UDK users here, we'll appreciate any help in correlating bugs as well

We'll keep tracking the forums and helping as much as we can, but looks like this will be a nice help to us as well. thanks LennardF1989!!

Weephun >> There's a bugtracker extension/plugin for vBulletin that integrates directly into the forum structure. It's a good alternative if you guys decide to start up your own public bugtracker.

Well, we are quite alot of people wondering where the Maya 2010 x64 ActorX plugin is.

We asked since last week why only 32 bit is up, we never heard a word from you guys (its just really wierd the 32 bit is there but not 64 bit).

    Default Small update.

The guys at MantisBt probably never heard about keeping code seperated from interfaces, so with some work I implemented a simple custom template system. It already looks way better. And no, I'm not a star in designing, so yes, I based it on the UDK's forum look.

Next step would be to extend their use of CSS, as they now use a minimal amount of classes making it impossible to apply styles on per-page basis.

This update is NOT public yet, it will be in a few days.

No, thanks. I have a good Internet connection. I had other people in mind, who don't want to download a half GB every time an update will released.
