Reinstalling but stuck on file

So, I'm reinstalling gears 1 for PC (Duh) the only thing thats different this time is im using an external disk drive because my optical drive is broken. I'm pretty sure this is not it because i also just installed alone in the dark successfully (crap game tho lol) but now when i try to install it gets stuck on Maps/Sp_Embry/Sp_Embry_S01_1stLanding.war.comp, so i wanted to know. Should I unplug the disk drive and then click ignore when it says it can't find then reconnect and continue or should I just wait it out. But It's been at least 20 minutes now since it started installing that file.
