Effect only the player see's?
im close to release of a map ive been working on. ive run into a snag with an effect that i introduced last minute. it works as planned based on a trigger system, but in multiplay it doesnt. its effected by every bot/player that enters the volume.
how do i make this so that it effects every player individually, not be triggered by every player at once? similar to how getting the DMG AMP only effects the player view not the others.
the trigger is very large and will have more then one player in it at any given time. when you (the player) drops out of it, the effect stops. unfortunately when others are in it the effect never stops.
im not sure what variable im missing here, any help would be great
There's a box in properties on triggers in kismet to make them Player Only, which will get rid of the bots effecting it. You might try clientsideonly or onlyplayersee properties as well. That or something in the kismet rigging can usually define it better.

ive tried using player only and clientsideonly and didnt seem to work. this 'onlyplayersee' property intrigues me though, but i dont know where that is. the player variable set to Allplayers is turned off but it still reacts to all players/bots. heres a pic of whats happening and it works awesome if its a single player game.
Try changing your trigger from trigger status to the other one so it's just touched/untouched, instead of first/all Then change your target player to ???, and you might try rigging the trigger instigator to the same ??? object, can't say if that will do it for sure but it might show progress. In the properties for the trigger volume touch effect, I'm pretty sure there's a playersonly option
