Since when didn't you play on Hail ?

What's wrong with this map ? Noone vote it anymore(and it seems to appear far less than before)? I like this map,but can't play on it.

I personally love this map, it is the pure essence of a 1v5 map. On frag round I am unstoppable. The power weapon spawns are perfect on this map.(minus the mulcher, it is pretty much useless due to torque/sniper) It is my 5th favorite behind Jacinto, Blood Drive, Ruins, and River.

It is my favourite map, but it just doesn't show up on the voting list that often.
And when it does, it is usually against Blood Drive. It didnt stand a chance.

Hail is down there on my list of maps that I choose, I cannot stand river, canals, and waystation..Hail is just a fraction of a percent above those but I never vote for it (just my opinion)

It could have been a good map to me, but I don't care for the sniper/torque placements. Also it's neck and neck with Tyro as the worst annex map.

I like Hail for Annex. The weather makes it cool and does not come as often as that damn Tyro train. That train is so annoying.

Best thing about Gridlock: no frags.

I like Hail. I just wish the hail would come a little less frequently. Maybe put an extra 30 seconds between storms.

Most maps have a boomshot. I've learned to live with it. I just wish they hadn't added it to maps that didn't used to have one, like War Machine and Canals.

Hail is one of my favorites as well. I play on a wicked home theater/surround and hail by far has the coolest atmosphere of all the maps with the storm/rain effects. It adds a sort of ambiance many of the maps lack.

Nope, don't wallbounce.

Just hate that stupid hail that rips you apart plus I hate the layout of that map.
To many crates, walls etc etc.

i hate the beacuse everyone has to stop fighting just to wait so they can move without being killed by the weather, its almost old school tactics in games to reduce the ammount of time having to spend on development

Agreed. I love Waystation. It's one of the few maps that doesn't have a boomshot.

hail is terrible on wingman, but on a good 5v5 gametype, it's tons of fun. It's the best boomshot map (where all weapons are replaced by boomshots) I vote for it often, except in wingman, which like I said, it is terrible.

Hail isn't so bad, just not too great on certain game modes.

Think its a pretty good map for Guardian.

Yep, I miss the Frags on Gridlock that were there in Gears 1. Should switch out with Inks, not that worthless Boomshield.

We should make a new thread about what Weapon Swaps we think need to be changed on all of the Maps too. I have a few ideas.

Hail is a really well set out map (except Sniper & Torque), now if it looked as good as Highway or All Fathers then more people would vote for it. But cos it's all dark and gloomy even when playing on a HDTV it's hard to like the map as it makes all your visual senses confused.

Now the most pointless map has to be way station....Apart from Gaurdian I can not see that map being good for anything. It has to be the single biggest floop of any map in any MP game. I'd rather play 10 games on statis and then 10games on hail then 1 game on way station.
