List of Catergories

i just recently got into editing but im hoping by this time next year i will have learned how to edit and create things and be able to enter the contest next year.
my question is- is the a list with all the different catagories for mods you can enter? i know there new character, new weapon, CTF, vCTF and DM maps.

Next year? This isn't an annual contest. The next one might not be for awhile, if ever. Up until now they've been tied to the UT series, but Epic isn't planning on working on another one for awhile.

The first contest was around 2000 iirc, the second one was 2003/2004, and this one has ended except for the Grand Finals in November (which only previous Best Mod winners can enter).

a new version of the engine will bring a new game. Gears of War 3 may be the future aim for a new Unreal engine or maybe a Gears engine?

catergories. hahaha, i really need to get off the computer before 3am. i was a little fried from tryin to learn kismet. still cant get it right.

Yep. Been there, done that - many times over.
That's when you really know you need to take a break.
The best advise I can give you is don't try to force anything you're having difficulty with. Take a break, relax and clear your mind of clutter. Sometimes you'll be surprised how often the answer will present itself & just pop into your mind when you do this.

EDIT: I should mention that the layout for DM-Foundry came to me in one of these Ued dreams & won 1st place. So good ideas can come from them but it's the exception rather than the rule. Most of the Ued dreams are simply jumbled nonsense and that's when a break really helps.
