Ideas for TU5.

Post all your ideas for TU5 here! Please, no complaining about lag or host advantage, this topic is solely for posting ideas or thoughts for TU5.

Host Migration: This could really help the Gears 2 community, instead of suddenly ending the game when the host decides to quit or is forced to quit, switch the host to the person with the best Download / Upload speeds.

Region Filter: While the region preference does help, sometimes a foreign host causes a lot of unwanted lag, and giving the players the option of turning the filter on and off would be even better.


Those are just off the top of my head, what other ideas do you all have?

First off, Epic needs to listen to the fans, cuz we are the critics.. We are the ppl that say the game is good or the game is bad. And what would be good to make the game better or what would make the game worse.

30 or 40%. I meleed someone with a turque bow and my friend shot um down, and i got 86 points for that. but that has blades. I did the samething with a shotgun and i got 92 points. Thats ridiculous. since when did GOW become a fighting game? last i checked it was a shooting game.

3. Foreign BLock option. Nobody wants to play with foreigners unless u go to their country and play them there.

4. Melees shouldnt cancel ur shots. and, they should take out the wall bounce melee, or put a delay on it as well.

5. bridge/force host detection. Meaning if u bridged or forced host u get a match penalty, that would cost u 5000 points.

6. random or party detection. if ur a full party, u should be paired up against a full party. if ur by urself, u should be put in a game with ppl that are by themself as well or, be the fill in/a fifth for the party of four.

7. last but not least, ppl are gonna hate this one more then the rest but. I think if ur sliding into cover and ur hit by a smoke grenade, u should fall down. its more realistic that way. and if ur in the middle of a roll when hit by smoke grenades it should not stun u. smoke cringe time should be one 1/2 seconds.

The game was good until people came on these forums and did nothing but complain about getting owned by the shotgun. So they made GoW 2 open for everyone to play. Now thats what we have, a game where any scrub can get a kill, and veterans dont play anymore cause they dont like the new gameplay. This community is what ruined this game. Sure, we do have great ideas for the game, but way to many to put into the game. There are way to many of us to make happy. Epic needs to ignore us and make the game they want to make, like they did with GoW 1. Why do you think that game was so great, cause the fans had nothing to do with it. Thats all Epic has done is listen to us, and look at what happened to the game. We did it, not Epic.

Epic needs to make a better host selection system for GoW 3, since they cant do it for GoW 2. The game plays good enough as it is. If you dont like it, go play something else. The more we complain and change things, the worse this game gets.

Oh, and nice job with the black font, I love not being able to read peoples complaints.

no I played both GoW 1 and 2 and they are both good, they both got their weak point and strong point, but anyone that just don't like the game can play any other one. They're so many other game ya know. I think I saw enough people complaining about it, Epic just do their best to fit some problem and they can't solve all problem, it is impossible for all the other game in the world, so why would it be possible for that one ? Anyway idea is always a good thing to say, but complaining about things that already been talk about over and over shouldn't be, that's what I think !

I first want to say.... HempStCrew don, ur about as intelligent as a new born baby, thrown in a trash-can. if it was up to u, the shotgun would still be shooting at ur feet, when u shoot from the hip. with that being said, that proves why epic needs to listen to the fans.

If u get shot in the head with any gun when ur blood red ur head should come off. u shouldnt go down, u should die.

they need to fix the sniper rifle again. A shot to the face with a sniper rifle should be considered a head shot too.

u shouldnt get any points if ur in party chat. party chat is cheating and takes away from the "play off ur instincts" like u had to in gow 1. instead now u got ppl tellin u where the enemy is and tell u where grenades are planted. That automaticlly shifts the balance of the game.

Slightly changing that, if you're cover-sliding, you should stop sliding and cringe normally. If you're evading (rolling), you should be knocked on your back. Smoke cringe times are inconsistent, I've been gibbed several times because someone got out of their cringe first, when we both cringed at the same time.

Ok this is all epic needs to do... remove the no A button and R trigger rule and reduce B button damage of all weapons to 3 hits unless it its torque, sniper, or boomshot.

P.S.the old rank system was fine just noobs hated not being able to rank up past a 2 bar

tu5 should work on people who cheat...find a way..to assign players who glitch or cheat n give them -1500 for each cheat they do from lag switching to glitching stuff on the maps.

Add a playlist where you spawn with zero ammunition for your Shotgun or make it so that the Shotgun is a neutral placed weapon on the maps. This gun plagues the games. It turns every match into a shotgun fest. I for one would actually like to see some of the other guns used.

well, being able to use Skorge and RAAM in the horde mode would be enough for me, but in my opinion, its such a little change they shouldn't need to wait for another TU for that... I hope !!

I suggest the Double EXP continuing for a number of reasons:

1. Some players have terrible times with lagged matches, disconnects, etc.
2.It would further promote the Horde mode
3.Even on an insane wave, the player can only make a maximum of 500 EXP. This is not enough to make gaining extra EXP a cheap way to get anywhere as you would still have to play FOREVER to get to rank 100.
4.Horde is awesome!!
5.It would allow people to play as a team more and avoid some of the racist, sexist, etc. people who play the game.

I would also like to suggest that there be some horde attainable in Private matches. Especially considering some of the items listed above (1 & 2). It would also allow people who only have Silver Live to get the achievements that require rank, without being forced to do wave after wave of horde FOREVER by themselves to rank up. Allowing players the chance to work against the computer to get Rank would enable people who get frustrated by the MP to take a break from it without changing games in their machines and forgeting about Gears 2.

.....but besides that they need to fix the ridiculous chainsaw glitch. I'm sick of stumbling backwards and having to wait up to 10 seconds to use the damn chainsaw because I took a few shots from someone. They need to put it back to the way it was.

I would like to see the Ink's cloud do more/less damage depending on how far in the cloud you are. It is ridiculous that I can get downed faster outside of the ink (yet still receive damage) than the other character who is in the middle of my ink.
