Gow 1 - DLC ( gow2 maps )

Since a lot of people still play gow1 like myself, we would like to see some DLC - not new maps, but some of the original gow2 maps ( jacinto,blood drive etc)

this would be easy as the maps are already made and only need to go onto the marketplace, not every map from gow2, but just a few. i would even pay microsoft points for them if i had too. Post your thoughts

- to the people that will say "go on gow2 if u want to play those maps", i like gow1 gameplay better so i play that. adding some gow2 maps would make it great

Will never happen and i dont think it would be as easy as you make out to transfer the maps over because of the difference in graphics.

people always say tahat no more dlc will come out for gears as it is an old game but if epic and more so microsoft can make money out odf something so easy then I dont really see why it wouldnt happen.

its mainly because this has been said before countless times on the forum it wont happen as they are more worried about gears 2 now than 1 you dont exactly see the new halo 3 maps on halo 2 do you, sorry its just never going to happen. I use to love playing gears of war 1 but i saw the light and have picked 2 plus going back to it now is a big no as you can see all the imperfections

DLC for GoW1 is never going to happen, ever for multiple reasons.

1. It's not as simple as 'transferring' the GoW2 maps to GoW1. GoW2 is running on a more the updated game engine compared to GoW1's. The Dev's would have to re-make the maps for specifically for GoW1 and waste time and resources in doing so, It would still be impossible because the game engine has updated too much. This is the reason why Xbox 360 users didn't get the extra campaign missions from the PC versions as DLC. Same Principle.

2. Only a small minority still play GoW1, so even if they put a price tag on, they wouldn't make enough money. It wouldn't sell well. Releasing DLC for a 3 year old game which already has a sequel. Think it through.

3. Epic is busier with other projects (Shadow Complex, GoW3?) and has no time to back track and waste time and resources making maps for outdated games.

So you can dream, but it's not happening

lol this is pretty much reverse for me. since going back to gow original I cant play 2, everything just seems so rigid and slow and nothing works

Sp[artan Don - thats a damn good answer plus their is way to many thing that epic still have to fix with gears2.

all these requests to bring elements from gow2 (whether it be maps) back into gow1 are just idiots and those hu hav these ideas shud just get shot seriously
