does ps3 support?

ive been gone for a while and am wondering if the ps3 now supports custom family or even faction

nope, no custom families or factions. I haven't figured how to get the faction through the use of a mutator (for custom char skeletons). But I am a more skilled coder could do it. I've seen custom families/factions used in gametypes ported over to the PS3.
