Description: GoW-Justice is a team balancing mod created by PacerX, of the Gods of Warfare Clan. This guy is a freaking Genius!


GOW Justice attempts to balance teams based on each player's score in the previous match. Balancing occurs at the end of each match, just before tranistioning to the next map. Each player is ranked based on the number of points he or she scored per second in the previous match.

With two players on the server, Justice will swap teams at the end of the match so you can be on Blue next time if you think that's what made you lose. With three or more players it gets interesting. Teams are assigned as follows:

Important!!! I did not invent this mod, as previously stated it was designed and built completely by PacerX of the Gods of Warfare Clan.

I am posting this thread with his permission because there is a real need for a team balancing mod, and none of the others currently in use are viable. GoW-JUSTICE only takes effect between matches. If you have the shield belt, vest, boots, and the flag/orb, and are halfway to capping, Justice will never ever kill you. If you are stuck in a match where you are getting a severe beatdown from a stacked team, and Justice is on the server, you will know that the end is near... after the match, teams will rebalance, so you should never get two severely imbalanced games in a row.

Download is available at the Gods of Warfare website, in the mutator lounge section, along with many of his other fine creations. Thier website is a great source for custom content, and you can find many Warfare maps there that you may not see elsewhere. I encourage you to browse there. Here are the links:

*OT - coolcat, grabbed the weapons locker mod from your sig, need it for the unk maps or we all run around with spidermines in our hands and cant drop them to shoot! (to close to other deployables) Cheers!

I agree, it is very annoying to get killed off midgame and respawn on the other team. By only changing teams between matches, you get better games, and people stay on the server longer. Once a game starts, to me, it just doesn't feel right to keep messing with it on purpose. It's also nice to know there will be no team stacking, that gets people to quit servers too... Most people will sit through at least one set, and wait to see what the teams look like for the next game, if it's stacked over and over people quit. GOW-Justice avoids those problems, and balances teams nicely.

NP, Pacer, thanks for making this! People NEED this! You should enter it solo for MSU phase 3/4 whatever. For those who don't know, or just want to try it out, check out ANY of the Gods Of Warfare servers and play with about 6 people, see how it works. I think you will be extremely impressed, and the file itself is 13Kb (not a misprint...13k!!!) so people are not downloading this for more than literally a second, 1.35 tops. TOC clan is trying it, if you get a better ping there (euro I think) try them out... They discuss it a bit, and Pacer himself as well as Harmerty answer a few questions on this thread here:

I'm lobbying my own clan to put it on the BOOM servers, but we move slow because we're very democratic. Wah! I'll update first post when it happens.

Umm , I just wanna make a little comment :P

When its Seven player, the teams are unfair:


7 Players
Red Blue
#2 #1
#3 #4
#5 #6
#7

Imagine this:
#1=7points
#2=6points
#3=5points
#4=4points
#5=3points
#6=2points
#7=1points

You can see that the red team have two points more than the blue team, so the #7 should go in blue team to balance teams.

But I dont think it realy matter since it should be hard to script cause the mod should equalize both team and when there is only 1 point different, the last player (#) should go in the team with the #2 since #1 is the best...But if there is 2 points, like when there is 7 players it should be different, and I didnt test EVRE team number ( by example with 31 players) ...

By the way, you should not Think about the variable that player dont have these score in real game...If you see what I mean...(kinda hard to explain)

We finally put it on one of the BOOM servers, look for it in the browser, it says Justice right on it.

I updated Justice today with a fix for game-type voting problems. Now it will disable seamless travel between maps when you switch game types. This fixes the problem that your HUD does not appear when you switch to or from certain game types. You will no longer need to disconnect and reconnect to get your HUD back.

I am thinking about using Justice on my server. I am currently using UT3_fixer on my server which disables seamless travel. Are the 2 compatible? Do I even need UT3 fixer if Justice is on my server?

I think all UT3 fixer does is disable seamless travel. I used it to fix the HUD problem after gametype switch.

You can disbale seamless travel through your webadmin I believe so UT3 fixer is no longer needed if you have the latest patch on your server. Click settings, then administration and you will see the seamless flag to tick.
