Hey the only gametype i ever play is annex becuase i think it involves more skill than the others and its also very fun! The only problem i have is that i cant find any good players to play with, in matchmaking there is always a noob or someone who quits and it spoils the game so im looking for people to play annex with preferably people who are on gears 2 all the time and know how to play so add me on xbox live my gamertag is joekillen92 and we shall kick some ass.

Tell me about it, man. I keep getting teamed up with guys who pretend it's TDM and just go around kill farming. If you've got the mortar or something like that then I have no problem with you camping a little while you wait on the enemy to get in the annex so you can destroy them. I do hate it when some jackwad is just running around with his shotty out, going all over the map EXCEPT where he is supposed to go.

I also hate it when guys on my team will fight for the last 3 seconds of the annex, especially if we have a comfortable lead. I'd rather give up those 3 and be ready to capture the next spot.

And with host advantage and lag, Execution and Warzone aren't fun IMO. He who has the best connection usually wins. It's real fun having to watch the match because the host runs past my tagged frag, absorbs three shots from my shotty and then gibs me. If everyone had a fair shot I would play more of those gametypes.

its a lot less annoying to die in Annex. On a game like GoW 2, in which the winning team is determined by who has host, it can be really annoying to wait five minutes for the round to end and end up being one shotted down from far away with a shotgun.

Annex is the way to go. Sometimes it takes a few deaths to figure out how your weapons will work...will it take 2 shotgun blasts, 3, 4????

I've noticed that no matter how fast the bullets hit the wall to check lag, actually killing someone can vary, ie, shotgun looks pretty good on wall, but still takes 4 shots to kill/down. This sucks, as you know the host only takes 1-2 max. Annex lets you keep coming back to life for more fun or getting more PO'd b/c of lag, but at least you do come back.

Yea im with you on that, it involves more team work also. I'm 470 in Annex and I go after the ring all the time, I usually get about up to 20 caps a game. I only go for kills by the ring, while defending it.

i enjoy game of annex as much as anybody but i do think it is a little overplayed especially when people try to draw the gametype just to get annex. i like a bit of veriety when im playing thats why the map pack playlists could be doing with gametype sub playlists

Annex is definitely one of my favorite game types. Don't get me wrong, all types are fun if you are in the right mood, but I do prefer Annex to say...Execution.

The main reason is cheap deaths abound in this game, and I agree with all the others before me who have said that it can be really annoying to die and have to wait and wait and wait some more until the next round. I'm not going to complain if I get killed in Execution or Warzone, but I tend to get a little irritated when I get shotgunned from half way across the map at full health when that should really be quite impossible.

So yeah, add if you like, because Annex is where it is at.

TheEnd4 is my gamertag. I play Annex for Gears 1 and 2. But right now my Gears 2 disc is ****ed up so add me if you want to play Gears 1. I'll have another copy of the second game before too long though and play pretty much just Annex.
