Awww. I wanted to get a good look at RAAM's sword. Oh well, pictures are nice though.

WOOT! Just got an email conformation from Big Bad Toy Store that my RAAM vs Kim set was shipped! Can't wait to see it in person.

i just got the notification for my raam set, it should come by monday. finally, the figure ive been waiting for since i started collecting, its a pity about raams size, but hey, its raam does it matter? kims gonna be used to display my hammer of dawn and raam is gonna look badass amongst my other locust

Hello all, I just joined this forum. I'm a huge "Gears Head" so naturally I collect the Neca Gears figures too and I should have my Raam/Kim set on Tuesday of next week. I'll post pics when I get em.

If anybody wants to post pics of theirs(Raam/Kim), I'd love to see em.

I just got my Raam and kim pack, lol Raam's sword is more like a pocket knife but I dont care I got him holding the troika, its bad ass!

*GASP* That's not like RAAM's sword in the game, it's like RAAM's bread knife or something!

NECA how could you!?! If you're going to make it look like a sword, make sure it doesn't look like a red bread knife.

Wow, what happened? We have awesome figures and accessories, then this? It's so wrong. It's not a sword. It's not even a decent knife.

I haven't played Gears 1 for a while, but I don't remember it being that small. I thought it was quite large.

Same. I'll have him equipped with his troika now. I might give the dagger to a Drone since it looks about the right size of the daggers they have on their thighs.

The handle on RAAM's bread knife (I refuse to call it a sword.) looks exactly like the handles on the drone's thighs. So it would look cooler to equip it with a drone.

Just picked the set from customs and I must say that Raam's sword or a butter knife was a huge disappointment..

I still love the look that Raam has and the Troika looks sweet aswell.

What about Kim? Looks a bit too standard to me.

So not to open up this whole can of worms again but... I played co op Gears of War with my son yesterday and I now, have got to change my opinion of the Raam figure. I had forgotten just how HUGE Raam was compared to Kim. In the game you get some very clear shots of the 2 of them together and Kim is at least a full head shorter than Raam. He to me is as big as a boomer, minus the big gut.

I've noticed that people are finally starting to post video reviews of the RAAM vs Kim set on youtube. I'm looking forward to seeing the Hive box sets reviewed in videos on youtube soon.

i think they based the size on the multiplayer matches rather than the game raam is normall size in multiplayer can i also add i played gears 1 last night how awsome is that game !

Well back when NECA announced their Gears line, the figures were often listed as Gears of War Multiplayer Figures, so there may be some truth to what you're saying. If NECA regard them as MP figures and not campaign then that's why the size is different.

Then again what's cheaper for a company? Repack of figures, just with new heads and charge £28 or create an entirely new sculpt to use once? It's definately going to be a simple repack that's more cost effective for them.

i think they got the colour wrong on raam his armour was brown in the game also the mouth should move he stands well and the pose is good as for kim why is he standing like he needs a pi$$ they look good tho i only got the pack for raam.

I don't recall his armour being brown.

Anyway... the "sword" is a flimsy piece of plastic. I will more than likely be modifying it to the correct size, and proportion to RAAM.
