    just played lance 3, congratulations!!, actions still fast and tight as before, tough bots, no bugs met.

    i really love the new background sound and music, these are the best changes for lance, gives a good emotion,
    thx for the music addition!! also random wrentch attack, make the battle so much more fun, only hope they got more distinguishable skin, sometimes i can't tell a friend or foe quickly, if there's a boomer in future may be even more fun,lol..
    The new models are cool too, i prefer the seeker, gives me a gears 2 feelings...

    some things i think need some improvement is the UI, when you choose random, the UI shows some ugly white square,
    i hope remove this sqaure. The protection sphere still no much use, seems bots rarely spawn the same time as you,
    but anyway it looks more beautiful. Finally i hope little more life, maybe still 7,...

    The death animation looks a little strange ,it's not random death, looks like sb. always give you a big punch
    and your back fall to the ground, or likes you step on a banana and make a big tumble, well, maybe that's cool...

    all to all, great thx for this new lance 3, you made it man!!

    Big ugly white square? BTW all the death animations are retail, BI told me how to link them to the characters.

    yes, i think these white things means blank, when you choose other charater ,it show a character model pic,
    but when you choose random option, it only shows a wrentch with a white blank square shape on the right.

    Because they were just quick amateur re-touch, and WK was out of place. Thought the new ones were much better, and it was time for a change.

    It's a question mark. Question mark for random.

    yes, i 'm curious to see what the lance creator looks like, your real person photo.
    also a good way so no copyright confusion and misunderstanding.
    when sb. play this mod, they can see: oh, the creator's name is kantham, live in canada. etc.
    sth. like a lance logo...

    Got home late from partying.. Just had to load up Lance 3!!

    IT IS FRIGGIN EPIC!! PUN INTENDED!!

    Red Alert was awesome to start with. I like the little minor changes you did to the cover spots and such. Still a very slick feel to the game. I love the behavior of the bots now. They acted really strange before. Feels more like real players now. The bots don't seem to just sprint around the map as much as they did before. Love the new death animations, quicker, nastier. Palace Guard is frickin sweet!! I was a little disappointed though in the size of his FAT HEAD! He is harder to snipe and when you play him he blocks your view more than the other characters. But I guess thats to be expected. Ruffus?? Lol.. cool name. Like the dreds!!

    Sorry to hear you decided to dump the WK and Sine. I would like to see as many new characters as possible in Lance. If you want to drop characters I think you should drop the old Gears 1 characters. I'm not married to Hoffman or RAAM. But hey its your creation. I recently bought the Cog Soldier Action Figure for Gears 2. I was toying with the idea of painting it White for the White Knight. But I just found out that I have a Ben Carmine figure!!

    Anyway, I didn't encounter any game breaking bugs. I don't like that you get a Game Over when you lose all your lives. I'd rather return to the main selection screen. But thats it.. just some minor nitpicks here and there.. Otherwise its a pretty MEGA release. You are a very talented fellow. I look forward to whatever you come up with next. Meanwhile.. more lance 3 for me....

    P.S. - I witnessed a fight between 2 wretches on my first play which was pretty LoL-riffic!!

    By running out of lifes, you get the pause menu, in which you can nearly instantly go back to the selection screen by selecting "Load last checkpoints"

    The map takes 2 seconds or so to freshly re-load from here.

    Wait until you see 4-5 of them.

    Glad you liked it.
    I doubt there will be a lance 4. Just more levels for that game that is all.
    BTW yeah, the concern of the PG is his big helmet, it's not really a problem and takes a while to get used to. Don't wonder why they didn't include it in Gears 2...

    i just found the palace guard's big head bring some trouble when zoom shooting, block half screen,
    maybe that's the reason no guard in gears 2 dm.

    also really hope more life kill limit, maybe 100.
    the game ends very soon, we can pick up weapons so not a mess...

    I found a solution for the Palace guard helmet, it will be about 30% visible when the player will zoom in. That might work well, I'll try this before uploading final.

    thx for the helmet solution...

    another thing is game ends soon because of the wretches attack, the kill limit reaches soon.
    i want to shoot the bot but many times they were killed by wretches,
    i want to chainsaw but before i reach the bot some wretch already take my job.

    so this made the gameplay somewhat less fun, i love wretches but it needs a balance
    for longer gameplay in one round, hope some fix or longer kill, thx man!!

    Hmmm.... Sometimes when I take cover and try to do a mantle I can't.. but if I leave cover and go right back... THEN I can mantle. Only happens occasionally and usually early in the game... Anyone else notice? Minor problem...

    From here? I think there's some places where the mantle doesn't work properly, that spot is one of them, and I plan on fixing that of course.

    The seeker, Ben Carmine and Rufus were GREAT additons and the palace guard is just freakin UBER (its freakin awesome! i love it!) but yeah Sine and White Knight from 2.0 were cool. The white armor on the palace guard looks really badass and love the gameplay alot more now, its more challenging.

    It'd be cool though if you'd add a casual mode and bring back the 7 lives on that, and bring back sine(even though it was an amatuer retouch, it was still awesome lol)/white knight for variety

    Yea Kantham whiteknight was absolutely amazing. I loved him and his armor was awesome. I wish all the armor skins for people like baird or the carmines looked like his.

    Hmmmm... When I said Mantle I meant Cover Slip... I get those 2 confused.. sorry.

    Its Usually when I'm standing in cover at one of those large boxes. Sometimes It won't let me cover slip around the box until I leave cover and take cover again.

    I'll try and post a screenshot...

    P.S. - It seems Sine and WK are pretty popular!! LoL...

    Its happening here.. I'm holding the "UP" W key right when I took that screen. Theres no Cover Slip Icon...

    I see a body inside the wall there (Hand), that might be why.
    Oddly enough, lol. Because there's a cover slot there.

    As for the slip, I guess I'll just re-do the collision there and other places like it, that might be why it's causing this.

    Yea Kantham! exactly I was playing just fine last night! Weird isnt it. I dont know whats wrong but out of no where its happening.

    Here is the thing though it happened after I loaded your lance 3 files into my folders BUTTTTT i hadnt tried the game today before I loaded them and seeing as how the problem persists after I remove the files I doubt they are why im having the problem.

    Oh and as for all the cover problems I have my theory:
    Seeing as how FOR ME and others I think they say this only happens at the start of the game. I'm not exactly sure about other people. But I think that the problem is that you've gotten to cover that has not loaded up yet and when you try to use it you get problems. I get this ALL the time in two places.

    Fuel depot sniper storage tanks which fits my theory and also clocktower sand bags which also fits. Just my 2 cents

    Well.. after playing somemore I'm not so sure its a time thing.. I just think it happens when it wants to... I'm sure Kantham will fix it. Its a minor problem anyway...

    Does anyone here load the map from the game UI? If yes, I suggest drop that crap, big time.

    Why? because it loads weird MP settings into it, lance is supposed to be run using the SP settings, which are run by the 'open mapname' command in the console, or the campaign itself, or if people name their level "SP_"

    Another important note is, that if you already played MP, you should restart the game before playing Lance, your character health is very low and other weird stuff.

    You can actually fall from where that Theron is standing, to get there, simply walk across the edge, then push yourself on that structure, you will eventually fall trough the water and exit the map. I'll put a volume that kills you instantly as you touch the water.

    i hope bot number return to 5 or 6, 4 is so few , if you got much bigger maps in future,
    the battle won't be that tight as before, you should roaming around to find bots,
    since sometime they just hide and don't move. thx....

    actually i really don't care about the old characters, the seeker, palace guard, carmine already did a great job,
    so if set 5 or 6 we can see more of these bots playing around..

    They won't get much larger than red alert, don't worry.
    you can always change them manually if I told you how.

    4V4 isn't so few, it's less spammy.

    ok then, if all maps plays like redalert so no problem, i haven't met any bugs currently,

    gameplay perfect, only hope the map a little brighter, the new redalert seems darker than old version.

    and maybe more custom BG emotional sounds and music, i really love this new feature,

    gave me a cold feelings and death fear in red alert, like somewhat saint songs in church.

    battle ruined body but music purified the souls,great work...
