    Just downloaded it and got the map running offline and hosted online no problem. It has a very similar theme to Delusion, but for some reason it seems much darker in-game than the screenshots. Could be the glare on my monitor, so I'll check on that again later. There are a lot of coverlinks missing in Beta1, but other than that no major issues to report so far.

    Looking forward to testing the layout on custom map night.

    One thing I noticed that you also did on Delusion is exclude coverlinks for the perimeter of the map. Although I'm sure there are a few coverlinks missing in some of the Stock maps, I feel like every surface should have a coverlink for consistency's sake. I'm not sure what the general concensus is on this perspective, but that covers at least half of the links I am referring to.

    Maybe 90% of these are symmetrical so you will want to check both sides of the map. Sorry for the lame Paint job.

    I agree 100% with Liquid, though. The more cover the better. Gears 1, more so than Gears 2, relies on cover almost everywhere because of the ability to wallbounce. And when a player tries to wallbounce on a wall, even if it's only on the outside perimeter, and instead they roll into it, it can mean the difference living and dying.

    Yeah... maybe in some places i forgot to add cover links, but in most of them I didn't want to put any cover links because I think there is no need for them. Do you really need cover link on 4th picture? or 5th????? Anyway thanks for your feedback guys !

    Just fantastic, really love the look of this. This is the first map I've seen that mixes up rockcave & Art Deco assets. I really didn't think that would work, but you've pulled it off really nicely.
    I especialy love the pipe arrangement outside the main entrance, it looks just awsome and it reminds me a bit of VCTF-Megastructure from UT3 :

    My only reservation is that the charcoal colourscheme may be too close to the cog armour colour, which would be a problem for visibility, but we shall see.
    Changing my votes now to work this in for Sat. Nice wrok.

    Well I wouldn't have gone through the trouble of taking the screenshots if I thought otherwise.

    I noticed that some of the larger stock maps are missing coverlinks near sections of the perimeter. I'm not sure if this helps for optimization, or if it was simply neglected in some areas. Again it may just be my preference, but since this is a tight map every little piece of cover helps.

    this map gave me some sort of same feelings when i saw the first UE3 demo in 2004, just classic...

    Coverlinks don't affect FPS or anything like that. It wasn't for optimization. It was because Epic didn't foresee wall-bouncing and cover navigation becoming as important to the gameplay as it ended up being.

    If someone is able to look at something and even think, "should I be able to cover on that?" then there should be cover there. Only when it's absolutely clear that a certain object should not allow for cover should there not be any. Otherwise, like I said, you get instances where you try to take cover somewhere but end up rolling, which only adds a few seconds but can mean the difference between surviving and getting owned.

    Nice update. I did a quick pass and Beta2 looks clean. You even got cover on the rock piles.

    I'm really looking forward to seeing this in action. Well done sir!

    great news, delusion and caveyard always my favorate maps,
    both got high quality as official maps in every aspect, level design, texture detail,
    shade, optimized framerate ,intense bot gameplay.
    caveyard also gave me a black and white action movie feelings,thx all the way!!

    There's a LGE version of it out there where you can play with bots. I'm not sure how much it matters to you that this is the MP version.

    Can you strip the MP version from the LGE version? I'd imagine if you just removed the bots and whatever else Lance uses, you'd have the vanilla MP map. Or is the coding for Lance hard-coded into the map?

    no firstly you have to sellect all kismet referenced actors and remove them, next you have to open kismet pres CTRL+ALT and select all the kismet related to lance and delete it, then just palce some warspectator points and warteamstartpoints, then tick on in worldinfo bIsMultiplayerMap flag. Also remember don't do anything without map author permission.
