Quitting should be allowed

Quitting should have some logic.
Quitting penalty should be progressive. On the team first person to quit the game should lose more than the last person . One person playing 5 is a waste of time. He/she be allowed to quit.
If host quits everyone quits, Everyone should not be canned. If all quit punish the host.

Crazy things I have seen with rank.

I am at 3 stripes, host quits..Everything is fine.
Next game again host quits... I am demoted. two stripes
I am frustrated started playing horde.After few round I am left with one player, now who will play 50 rounds with this noob, so I quit.
Guess what, I am stripless ))
I don't understand if horde don't move me up , why it move me down.
I play next match and win. I get 2 stripes back. Wow...it's all illogical.
Quitting has to have some logic to it, like Halo. You quit you lose experience and after sometime your rank.

it was a glitch its happened to me a few times im a 3stripe and its put me on no stripes even though i was wining them, the game after im back on 3 again might be lagg or somthing els i dunno but its happened more than once with mee ur not getting de-moted just that its hiding ur rank

yea ive seen that too, its not possible to be demoted to no stripes, no stripes means u havnt even played one match of mp. its a glitch that happens sometimes....i have however ranked down because the host quit, so i feel ur pain on that one. almost everytime i play wingman the host quits cause i rarely lose and their a bunch of crybabies.....

1) The ranking system looks like a 12 year old kid scribbled some numbers and mathematic symbols down to make a "formula" to have a ranking system. However, like every kid he screwed up the addition and subtraction signs. It's just a broken ranking system. My friend has a 4 bar, and he went 34-0 on that week. We turn around and play the 35th and he lost his 4 bar (let alone he had those 4 bars for about a month and won many matches he shouldn't have) Oh! and we won that 35th match too. Same thing happened to my 3 bars. I won and lost them. Ranking system is just broken, don't even worry about it unless you want to glitch your rank.

This is what I think should have been done:

-Allow players the option to quit on the in-game menu.
-When players want to leave the game, notify them that they will pay a penalty for doing so.

It's the least Epic Games can do for forcing players to play maps and gametypes they don't want to in matchmaking.

the only reson i hated people quiting in gears one was because it stoped me from getting achivments, now that it dosent affect my achievments they should definatly let us quite a game, i wouldnt even care if theres a penalty for it

Dude, if you want to quit that bad all you have to do is sign out and then in your account..10 seconds tops. Thats why i never udnerstood why they took the option out in the first place, it's useless

I think that there should be a leave game option as well but only for the reason of accurately tracking who is quitting.

And it pisses me off that all of the stats for that game go to zero if you quit. People are quitting just before they lose to preserve their K/D and W/L ratio knowing that they can always get their rank back. They should lose their rank as usual and also all of the stats should remain intact so that it stops.

What I think is funny is that people are stupid not to realize that you get points. Your rank (actually rank) is all about who haves the highest points in X gametype. The little insignia is meaningless.

Agreed, that same situation happened to me and a buddy of mine. Best K/D spread I had gotten up to that point and the host quit. All was lost
